I use TSTV and I can tell you with Authority that the picture quality is far better than any other Paytv provider in the country currently having tested most of them. If we're talking about content then I can agree that DSTV currently remains the best in that, but then it doesn't come cheap. If you're not too obsessed with football, I think TSTV is the best paytv in the country right now... Thanks

Sir I disagree with you...o! The picture quality of my tstv looks like 1990 - 2000 cameras. Also as per content, I saw none in Tstv aside HitTv, bloomberg, and kids stations. I have been navigating from stations to stations for the past one week I got the decoder, nothing to show. Abeg if you know better station do let me know, maybe mine wasn't installed properly.

Snap your TVtv channel list and snap one of the stations you mentioned so we verify the date to be current

My view on this is that for HD quality TSTV has a 720, 1080 which can't be compared to 1020, 1080 of channels like some DSTV,AFN and M4. So TSTV is HD but if you're using a quality TV, you may think TSTV isn't HD, but it is.
On Live Matches, the poster is 100% right. And for the streaming I've not test it myself.

If you say 4k then I tell you that no station offers it in Africa and very few world wide


It is not about producing the content on 4k it is about downloading in the same 4k to your subscribers

It cost more to download bevUee it requires more mbs


Service providers are Downloader... They download in different format... A station may transmit in 4k but a provider may send it to you in SD and reverse is also possible

I told. You that a station can transmit in HD and your service provider will offer you that in SD or uhd if they consider the picture too poor and wants to scale it


DStv started offering cnn on in HD just late last year.. It doesn't mean cnn has been transmitting in SD... It means that your dstv had been offering it to you in SD because, back or front, it was an exclusive channel to them so you had no other place to watch it

Nta transmit in HD... It is your provider, dstv, that distributes it to you in SD to save cost since they believe nta is not one of their prime money spinners... Nta has bureau in 7 countries around the world


You don't expect dstv to transmit Lagos TV to you on HD when they are sure it is not the primary reason people paid them for the download.. Their decision is driven by dollar, exclusivity of the channel to them and then viewers choice


If you doubt this, watch nta international on star dish and tstv and compare to DStv


Now to the pictures I provided, I don't know how you hope to judge a TV by the pictures taken with a phone


I have never used star times.. I used star dish and it comes with hdmi cable like tstv... Go and use that cable to do the connection.. Star dish picture is only equalled by tstv not dstv

I am not a marketer to them and never will be..... I am into suplly of Pms, ago and LPFO

I am not going to use a free to air that gives thousands of channels for me to wade through to get to one I want to watch... Tstv should do the selecting and Present me with a compact choice for some fees

What truth is hidden about tstv... You don't own the box.. I do... The op went to somebody's house and snap from visitors seat, I asked him to go close to the TV and open the channels list then let us see the date as been current.. He is yet to do that



THen one of his supporters says tstv is not HD, I snap the channel list showing HD and explain what HD is.. It is not a complex issue


He says it glitches, I say yes, but they are presently upgrading hence the almost five months free view... How did I know... I was worried I wasn't being billed even though I have almost 4k in my account and they explained to me

I bought my TSTV on Friday, April 8, and it has been a very awesome thing for me and my family... We are not a lover of "live" football matches so TSTV suits us...

@op, from what I have here on TSTV, most of the stations are HD picture quality and really clear... I'm impressed with it

It's got so much content than all of GoTV and DSTV of less than 4k sub

Nairalanders, get value for your money, go for TSTV today... How many hours per day do you watch TV that you'll be paying so high monthly for sub on multichoice?? TSTV is pay as you go and it isn't done monthly... Anyday you want, you make payment for the day and view, when you're away or no light, your money will not be wasting....

TSTV is just like prepaid metre and we are enjoying it here... Thanks to @smokeybrain who brought up the topic here on Nairaland and gingered me to get it, and I don't regret getting it...
