Unlike ukraine that’s d poorest country in Europe Finland is rich and has a stronger military.

they would have influence with othet countries. They aren't

There was no agreement. There was a meeting actually but no legal agreement. Putin has long been told to provide the agreement if anything was signed.

The meeting was even with the Soviet Union which has since collapsed.

They may not tow that path.

There is no county that is truly sovereign asides US. Every other country is either pressured, diplomatically coerced or outrightly forced to accept ideologies that may be alien to them.
As Russia is into this war, it's easier for them to go into another war except if they sustained enormous casualties.

BTW, I don't think Russia will fight Finland. They have a far far stronger military than Ukraine and seeing how the war in Ukraine is shaping out. Putin stands no chance moving soldiers into Finland. Finland's Air Force is pretty dangerous with advanced missiles, F18 fighters and F35s on order. He can only scare them with Nuclear weapons.

You are very correct, every country follows what's best for their national interest. Russia is doing the same. So, why are we blaming her now? She is protecting her interest too.
