An agreement was also reached in 1991 by Russia, US and Ukraine, that if Ukraine gives up its Nuclear weapons, it would never be attacked. I guess that is history now.

Russia is a bully and all its neighbours are scared hence they need military protection.

Was it because of NATO Georgia was invaded in 2008, what about Crimea in 2014. Putin does not see any country as independent or sovereign. Putin is like an Emperor who goes about conquering new territories.

Ask yourself, if NATO is a threat to Russia why are they not invading now with the war in Ukraine.
