It's a known fact in Nigeria political system that the current president of the ruling party always have the final say on who will be the presidential candidate of his or her party.
Currently, APC is the ruling party and President Buhari is the current president of Nigeria, he wouldn't be contesting in 2023 election, so another president must emerge.
In all the presidential Aspirants that have indicated interest to run for presidency under APC, among are Mr Bola Tinubu, Professor Yemi Osibanjo, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, Engr Dave Umahi and Mr Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Etc and others who are yet to declare their interest under APC.
The way things are going in APC, they might adopt consensus mode of primary.
Who do you think President Buhari will anoint among these aspirants to win the APC presidential primary?

APC will not adopt consensus mode of primary for the presidential nomination. It will either be direct or indirect primary election. All the presidential aspirants better keep consulting and reaching out to delegates and party members.

How many times do you want to be educated on this consensus matter? There's no provision of consensus for choosing presidential candidate in Apc. It's only for party offices. The section of the Apc constitution have been posted here several times. Besides,the new electoral law even further makes it pretty difficult for consensus now. INEC has warned all the parties in that regard.

Who are you going to coerce to write a letter of acceptance amongst these aspirants? This is presidential ticket not chairman. The stakes are much higher. Make una dey try use una head.

APC is the ruling Party of the biggest black nation on Earth. Last I checked, Nigeria is not Russia or North Korea.

Any consensus imposition on the APC, something that belongs in 1980 era of politics, will destroy the APC.

Men like Tinubu, because of their contributions to getting APC where she is today, must be given the chance to contest and win or lose fairly and transparently. Otherwise APC is merely planning to commit suicide and hand over power easily to the undeserving PDP.

Head of state IBB handpicked Shonekan to be the head of interim government.
President Obasanjo handpicked President yaradua. President Jonathan would have had same opportunity, but he didn't win his second term election. Let's watch and see, president Buhari will have the final say on who will be APC presidential candidate.
