Many here still do not understand the situation in Russia itself, where there is a media blackout on the situation in Ukraine.

I was able to talk to 2 civilian friends living in Russia. One is Russian i got to know through defense industry, and the other is a Filipino OFW who is a cousin's close friend.

I was only able to reach them both by phone call as social media like Facebook Messenger are not available.

It turns out that the Russian public still doesn't know until now that Russia destroyed several Ukrainian cities and that there are already more than 4 million Ukrainians that fled the country.

According to them, only Russian media is operstional, all social media has been blocked and the internet only has reports of Russian "special military operations" said to be happening only in the Donbas region, to liberate it from Ukraine.

They also have no idea on the heavy losses suffered by the Russian military in the hands of Ukrainian defenders.

All other things aside from that are considered "fake news" and can land you a 15-year prison sentence if you publicly mention that the Russian operations goes way beyond Donbas.

You still believe in Russian propaganda? Good luck with that.
