Saw that disgusting video on Twitter. That clearly wasn't a rape case at all. However, that act must be totally condemned. The school management also must be punished.

I don't know the law here, and as I put it up earlier on this thread, in some jurisdictions, there are specific laws that protect minors from being prosecuted if two of them have sex willingly and are under the age of consent. (that applies to the US, and in some states, not all).

At the end of the day, however, I'm going to err on the side of caution (and yes, I mean err)..and assume that a ten year old cannot give consent, even if her partner is also ten. Lawyers in the house should be able to give a better view.

But the main koko here is the fact that the school failed in its duty of in loco parentis big time.

I'm not here to get into 'Woman vs man' here things, and 'femminists' crap....but the fact for me is that a ten year old , boy or girl cannot give consent legally so long as they are below the age of consent.

I'm no lawyer, and lawyers should be able to give a better view, but for me, if we excuse this 'because they were minors' then at the end of the day, it takes us down a slippery slope that I don't want to go down

(It's kind of personal for me, in my day job, I have had to treat molested kids on a few occasions...I work in medicine)
