Who Should We Blame: Chrisland, The Parents, The Girl Or Society?

Who should we blame?

Before una blame, ask yourself, is there any content maker or skit maker in Nigeria, so- called comedians, that you can feel relaxed watching their content with your kids? Mr Marcaroni? Sydney? NastyBlaq? Even BrainJotter has given kids new slangs: “you no get yansh.”

They all promote sex! It's always been sex! Sex! Sex! And guess what? We find nothing wrong with it!

And so?
That's why children are experimenting! They watch everything you watch! In Nollywood, if it's not teaching the use of cult language, it's getting rich quickly, or sex! In music, it's sex and leaked tapes! They have all these at their disposal in a smartphone.

There's one movie..I think Selina Tested blabla...what's the usefulness of that movie in society? And to say it has millions watching it baffles me! The movie clearly promotes cultism!

Both in Hollywood, it's either magic, being possessed by a superhero witchy trait, having a bad side, living a double life, shooting, or sex! And many children have watched some movies before you!

What else?!

Talking about Chrisland, let's not pretend we don't know these are happening around us. In many schools, porn and leaked tapes are in gigabytes on their phones. Our music is rotten. Celebrities with a loose sense of fashion. The world is breeding a new era of what you parents failed to prevent! And that's why when you talk of a girls-only school in Nigeria, you think of lesbianism. Because it's true! They do it at whim! A girls-only school in Nigeria has male staff members and some of them use them! You see lots of abortion pills and all that from secondarians! Secondarians!

Children are having sex even under your roof! Don't scream God forbid! It is! Some are part-time prostitutes! Yes, some are!

Back to Chrisland...
Just like every other schools in Nigeria, their best is not enough! The I-dont-care life of teachers is becoming unbecoming and that's why these events occur at whim! Stricter measures must be taken and members of the opposite sex should never be allowed in private areas! Even in public areas, there must be in groups!

Should Chrisland be locked down?

Why?

Inasmuch as Chrisland should be very careful while mixing both genders and putting more measures, it's also the responsibility of parents to train a child properly and guide what they consume morally.

Was it really coverup? Even if it was, Child porn should never be a breaking news! Chrisland took action by suspending the culprits! I understand Chrisland has been in some old mess of late but, haba, judge cases individually. Chrisland is sb’s business and schools have ethics. You wanted them to publish the news? News of child porn?

To stain the image of the school?
The parents?
The girl?

They tried to leverage those!
They tried to die the matter even though it was a serious one!

They tried to allow the matter die in the school!

Do you know the reputation of the little girl in the video now, and in the future after you folks linked and shared the video!
That's what Chrisland were protecting!

Do you know?

Omotola’s daughter is a product of Chrisland. Of course, we saw her wearing panties and bras recently. She's a role model. Tueh! What are the adults teaching the children? That big bombom is an asset! That breast is a green card! That sex is the redpill!

There are few reasonable people in the entertainment industry! Others promote sex!
But don't they say majority wins the vote?
Nude has been given a new name: Bikini. Posting adult content and rubbish is now called “cruise.” Walking naked is now called sexy.

The internet is saturated with diff formats of pornographers. If it's not useless Ruger singing “i want to fxxck your pu pu na,” it's that old layer Tiwa exposing her nude, or that agbero is jeans Oxlade.

But they'll come out and be shouting “lockdown Chrisland, lockdown Chrisland.”

Hanty, before they lockdown Chrisland, y'all should learn to put your panties inside clothes! Na y'all idiots dey spoil pikin.

The parents?
Make una train una children properly! You allow them consume enough pornography! Music, movies in the right proportion and content is good. Music and movies with any sexual activity is bad for them!

The parents of the girl should stop forcing the rape allegations, my opinion tho. The video clearly showed a girl and some group of boys having consensual carnal knowledge. I know it's a big shame to them but white should never be painted black! Your daughter is a mess.

Most parents don't even know their tech devices have parental control. Yes, you can control their phones, the satellite and everything! Some countries force parental control policies. YouTube has YouTube for kids. DSTV and other satellites have parental control measures. Even an android phone! What excuse do you have now! You exposed them!

PS: I don't share child porn and I will never share any video so don't bother sending the mails. Thanks.

Small pikin of 10 years wey get android cannot learn anything from Naija celebrities. Just take a look at the body of a ten year old! How on earth does a ten year old have breasts! That means no bi today she start. Ten years old with experience! She should be flogged mercilessly! Shame on her!

The kids?

Shame on those kids!
Most kids too are too corrupt to be corrected!

Tbh, y'all—the parents, the kids, society—failed in making society conducive!

And to all those people here playing police against those who want to watch the Chrisland video and saying they are reporting them, if dem no watch am, how dem wan take judge? You watch your own come dey yarn okoto. Instead of being overly protective—typical of Nigerians only when a bad omen occues, kindly warn against sharing it since it's Child Porn! The video is everywhere!

Tackle the mosquito not always the malaria!

I read and reread your write up with interest it is well balanced as you focus on both the parent and the school. That video should never have been released except at a closed door hearing.I strongly disagree with a few points.

i. you lost me at “Just take a look at the body of a ten year old! How on earth does a ten year old have breasts! That means no bi today she start. Ten years old with experience! She should be flogged mercilessly! Shame on her!”.

Speaking from my experience in special needs and mainstream education with bias in child formation/development having breast at 10 has nothing to do with experience.Children born in the last two decades tend to mature faster, and show more curiosity and this has to do with environmental and dietary changes amongst other factors.
I see even 8 year old girls who have started their periods and have formed breast with the starting outline of hips to top up.

Growing up all i needed was a stern look from my parents to get in line or my mum to raise her slippers. Now flogging a gen Z child mercilessly to what end?.In her head she says i can do this the worst they would do will flog me.While flogging a child in anger,an accident can occur and she gets a permanent injury or God forbid dies in the process that’s 0-0.

When a child defaults, there are alternative measures to take from your archive of punishment and reward systems.

ii.When you say the video clearly showed a girl and some group of boys having consensual carnal knowledge.A child is not capable of giving consent so what you saw was a group of boys having carnal knowledge and the girl participating.Because she a minor in my eyes and in the eyes of the law it is rape.

Both the parent, the school and society as a whole are to blame.I subscribe to label the offence not the offender no child is a mess but like you rightly pointed out look at the supposed role models today, lyrics of Musicians….gone are the days where music was passing positive advise and soothing like if you love me you go wait for me our Onyeka Onwenu type.
The madness that is called fashion in this age and the sort of filth passed as messages passed down through various technological devices.

The girl bowed to exploration and peer pressure and did a silly thing she needs to be rehabilitated and all sides take responsibility. No one is holier but it’s who you catch in the act that is called a thief!.

It is such hard working raising a child of any sex anywhere in the world so regardless of your religion i say God/Allah for us all.

I feel Elite schools are just for mere business ground. They are just ripping parents off their hard earned money. I can't be paying over 400k in a term and you can't instill good morals on my kids.

Now, I think parents should consider registering their children in government schools.

Op for your mind you haf made sense abi? While somethings you say might be correct, you are not entirely correct. Oga/madam I don't know if you haf shidren at homes or not. If you do? How do you takes caring of them? Do you locking them in the house like kuntakinte that they don't going out at all? Now if they goed out at all, do you following them abouting? Do you know what they doesing behind your back when you will not watching? Also you are talk the matter of phone and gigabite. Before now and without phone these things haf been happen so nor be today. From the time of Sodom and Gomorrah it has be like that. Even from the time space of Adam and eve sef and the serpent.
Ok, so I do agree that the parents play a serious role in the lives of their wards but to be telling us in your article about the school blablabla makes me think you are kind of paid to put this down here.
Understand this, they opened a school for children. Parents enrolled the children into their school because of that trust. The children get bleeped and you are here typing this thing. You get luck say I nor know where you de stay make I bring the girl mother come your house. Between the house and the school, where does the kid spends more time? Especially that particular girl. Ok, there you go.

That father is my mirror. That's the way to train a child!

I bet he'll be humble all his life! Children also hate embarrassment... especially beating them in public..amid their peers and people they oppress.

When I was teaching, a report came that a JSS2 boy allegedly pressed the cups of an SS2 girl. It was his guts for me. And psychology says before he could do that, the girl has submitted her respect to him or he bullies her.

I called him. A lil chat with him and I noticed he's this bully who may have joined a small cult nearby.

Unto say I no well as per military student who went to serve, I land am better slap and some resetting beating for trying to walk out on me, it followed a series of other punitive measures to humble him.

When I was in Secondary school, one of the most stubborn boys got into problem with the school authority, the principal called his father, whi happened to be a high court Judge to report his son to him.
The father came to school with 3 of his other sons. This boy happens to be the last child of 5 boys but He was a pain in the ass, He was very big and muscular but when his brothers came, they dwarfed him. All of a sudden one his brothers head butted him and He fell to the ground like a paper, his uniform was soaked in blood within minutes, they tied him to a desk and our able Goliath who has lead us to so many war was crying like a baby, we were all shocked. The father demanded for canes. The man was just flogging only the feet of the boy the boy shouted until he lost his voice and became weak, our principal became afraid and started begging the father to take it easy, it was then they loosed him and dumped him behind their hilux and drove away.. we did not see our Goliath for 2 weeks but when He came back, He was sober and reserved.
No more trouble till He left school. Rumours had it that He was taken to the hospital and when He recovered his father locked him up.

I bet that guy is doing well now.
This generation is useless.

I feel Elite schools are just for mere business ground. They are just ripping parents off their hard earned money. I can't be paying over 400k in a term and you can't instill good morals on my kids.

Now, I think parents should consider registering their children in government schools.

You reason like this because you're not in the system.

What would you have a teacher do when you can't correct the child?

I've seen a parent come in to tell the teacher to steer clear of anything moral as far as it's her child. She should leave the moral aspect to her and face her teaching.

I've seen a teacher give note to kids on Obedience and Respect, only for the parent to write inside the same note that it's wrong to teach a child that. That the child should question anything before doing it. She's exercising her rights.

I've seen where a parent brought in policemen to arrest the child's teacher because he scolded him about habitually defaulting with homework.

I've seen yet another come to threaten me simply because I counselled the child to be up and doing with her studies and borrow a cue from her big brother.

I've seen parents come to beg for marks for their kids when they fall short.

The admin of schools seemed to have joined a consensus that throws you at the parents, no form of protection even when you mean well for the child.

In my school, it's a policy, we don't beat. What would a teacher do than look away when as it is now, you can't even admonish or correct them? These kids know and they leverage on it. The teacher isn't lazy or nonchalant, their hands are just tied.

You know a teacher's work is regimented, If you don't do your assignment, Ko fa ja. I'll just write in your book: Assignment on so so and so Not Done, then I'll put date and signature. If na 10 assignments you no do, I'll sign in your book 10 times, ma ya look away. If I'm questioned about scanty work load, I refer them to the books of other serious-minded children.

It's not all a tale of woes. There are still a few parents who wouldn't condone nonsense and value the fact that teachers and parents must work together for optimal results.

Look at this babyish thinking. Go to public school and find out what is happening. Sometimes people are not supposed to type or say what they don't know. Go to public schools in Jakande and Ajah.
Which one is "people are not supposed to type or say what they don't know" are you the one feeding them, or buying data for them? Please respect yourself.

How many similar cases have we read on nairaland that broke out from a government school?

Is Dowen college a government school?
Is Chrisland college a government school?
Is kings college a government school?

Yet we kept on reading heartbreaking cases coming out of private schools.

Bitter truth!
The only people that failed are the kids themselves(and that is even because they were captured).

If you like preach from now till whenever, the onus lies on the kid to behave well.

Contrary to the lies being told by powers that be (18 years maturity rubbish), the child is supposed to own responsibility for his/her deliberate behavior from the moment they are able to know good and bad.

Don't call any teacher lazy, do u know what they pass through in the hands of students, those student disrespect them and are calling them by their first name, if a teacher disciplines a student,it is then that u will see the mother show up and start insulting the teacher, even the school owner will punish the teacher for that,if u want to know whether the teachers are doing well ,go and check their biological children, mind u the duty of training a child is that of parent and not teachers, the parent buying an Android phone for a ten year old child, what do u expect, the girl in question is a pro ,I have watched the video,so stop blaming teachers for parental failures

For instance:
People die through road accident, does that stop you from traveling or buying your own car?
People die through food & drink poison, does that stop you from eating or drinking?
Many Parents have warned the school not to discipline their kids, does that mean when they see a child going astray they shouldn't discipline him??

Please let be reasonable here. Do you know that is not all parents that are against the school disciplining their children? I want you to understand that they paid for the services.

Boarding or Day, the students still spends more time in school than at home.. I'm ready to argue with you about this particular one initially.

You did a good job by talking to your family's friend son, but still you also need to tell his mom, so can discipline him. "Charity begins at home"
You just confused me sis. My answer to the first bolded is "yes". The teachers cannot discipline a child after the parents have given an ultimatum against that. You have to understand that many of them (teachers) would be sacked and the public will drag them, tag them and call them names if they discipline any child. After all, many conclude and judge from the first post on social media instead of objectively seeing through the posts.

The answer to the second bolded statement is clear on my comment. I said "many" and it might interest you to know that they are the majority.

To the third, how is that possible since the children are at home from 4pm or 5pm till the next day and even on weekends?

You last statement of "...charity begins at home" is confusing and it contradicts your stand in this issue. I thought you said the schools were supposed to have the responsibility of instilling wisdom more than the parents since the kids spend more time with them and they are also paid?

The girl caved to peer pressure and did a silly thing she needs to be rehabilitated and all sides take responsibility.
It is such hard working raising a child of any sex anywhere in the world so regardless of your religion i say God/Allah for us all.

One of the most popular statement written in my days in primary school toilet was " TOTO IS GOOD " we never saw who wrote it but we knew people were doing bad things in the toilet and we were not up to 10 years then.
Things like this has been happening and I can attribute it to bad parenting.
When did you leave Primary School
..
because I am very much aware that Toto is a recent slang.

I put it to you that your comment is fake.
And you didn't think it through properly before posting it.

Bro the faster men understand this, the better for them. African women are just for sex, there are just few women with virtue in Africa. What a typical Nigerian lady care more about is how to grow her yansh and breast. all these ones forming feminist on this forum, are all confirm urgent 2k introverts that boys have bleeped tire and dumped, which has rendered them mentaly toxic. Trust me its online they can type nonsense, meet them face to face. They can't talk, they will be quiet like one tozoh.

Nigeria Elite schools are just loosing value every single day.

~No good morals
~Lack of discipline
~Bunch of lazy teachers waiting for month end to receive their peanut.
~No code of conduct

I feel Elite schools are just for mere business ground. They are just ripping parents off their aa dhard earned money. I can't be paying over 400k in a term and you can't instill good morals on my kids.

Now, I think parents should consider registering their children in government schools.
Worst than this happen on a daily basis in government public schools. Just that no one is calling them out.

How many similar cases have we read on nairaland that broke out from a government school?

Is Dowen college a government school?
Is Chrisland college a government school?
Is kings college a government school?

Yet we kept on reading heartbreaking cases coming out of private schools.

Does every event get reported in the media? I have been a teacher in a public school, so I’m not making a hysterical statement.

Why blame parents or even the girl? Absolutely no basis.
You will become a parent soon.
If you like, leave your kids exposed to everything that goes on and around.
Don't protect them from the evil society as much as you can

All I see is parent of the girl being blamed.. what about the parents of the boys that raised irresponsible boys.. obviously the girl did not climb on top of herself...

Who are those irresponsible boys filming it and having Sex when they should be studying for whatever took them to where they were?

Is it fair to say that it's only girl child that should be trained and be responsible.. how come the blame is not balanced.. sad

The reason I believe might be because the parents of the boys are not calling for a false justice.

They probably acknowledged that their boys have brought shame to the family, I believe.

You were very lucky. In today's private school you can be arrested for slapping a student regardless of what the student's offence was. This is the cause of some of these loose morals we see everywhere. Don't beat the child o! Leave am like that! Just only talk to him he will hear you! Or tell him to kneel down! Nonsense. This is the cause of indiscipline in kids. I know it will soon get to this. In my days when teachers were feared things still happened talk more of now where kids see teachers as though it's one of their mates passing by. I don't blame the school at all for this mess. There was nothing else they could have done. If anyone knows anything the school should have done they should say it. Not saying teachers should discipline them. How should they be disciplined?

I was a welcome development to the school. The school was done.

There's an elite school in the North Central where teachers are not allowed to correct kids, only the school owner can. I learnt the students are so disrespectful that teachers resign almost monthly, in spite of the good pay. If it were in such a school, you would have been arrested.

It's almost in every school these days. And they only respect the directors and most of them use them. I speak from experience.

The parents have the blame and it pours down to the Society's
Movie you watch with kids
Things you do at home with them
Then society brings them all rubbish and unwanted words to their soul
How on earth can a child be dancing to one corner and the parents and society will be clapping for them
Well for the teachers they have little blame because they do there work

Well i will advice all school to have a CCTV camera almost everywhere in the school to be able to monitor things no one can see

People fail to remember this. They feel a 10 year old child is innocent and may not have such informations.
When Parents watch movies rated 16 in front of their wards.
Even those movies rated 13 are not even good for 13 year old, especially African and Asian children. We have a different culture from that of whites, the mind of a child is like a tabular razar, any information it takes in at that stage may be very had to erase except with severe punishment. The punishment is not to erase that information but to let the child know what the end product of his/her action will be.
I knew about sex from 7 years but never did it because I knew it was bad and the severe punishment that follows it.

Till date i have still not watched Hollywood's pretty woman and Nigerian Domitila and Glamour girls.

Just because my mum saw 18+, that was it, no permission to enter the sitting room again (made easy since the entrance door leads to the dinning, so the TV shelf backs the dinning table) and that video tape stayed in our house for over a month yet we were not interested in sneaking in to watch it when my parents were out because, anyone we were denied watching, we tend to lose interest.

Watch my first porn as an SSCE failure awaiting GCE

You'll also agree with me that, students spend more time at school more than at home.

I know to an extend parents are also to be blamed But then you should also consider the fact that they spend over 400k per term, to ensure the school discipline their children properly... I mean the services are not for free. They paid for it.

And students spends more time in school. So why can't they discipline them

400k for a month and you expect them to be flogged like goats? grin
Try this with government school and they will flog the living day out of you and wont even care if your parents dont want you attending the school anymore
