Nauttyprof:Why did Buhari set up PEAC? If Osinbajo was doing well, I don't think it would have been setup. Both Buhari and Osinbajo failed. Tinubu is no better |

MikoB:That’s the new constitution; accept the reality of a primary election and stop deceiving yourself that one person will be imposed as a consensus candidate. Btw, are you not the one arguing on another thread yesterday that Osinbajo has all the delegates from Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo, Ogun, Kano, Bornu and all none APC states. So, why are you now scared of primary election? |

seunmsg:I am not against any primary, i even opened a thread on this, I know there will be a primary most likely indirect primary. Attention! I never mentioned all the names of the states osinbajo will win,I only argued ogun and oyo, others will be surprise I will not mention now for a reason , but I can assure you, he has 10 decided govs and 5 swing govs on his side. |

Gozac:Amechi whaaaaaat?! With zero entrepreneural skills! Zero income generation foresight! All rail has not been able to generate their income Couldn't call on Bonny way, chisco, Ekeson, ABC transport to buy and manage the coaches for effeciency? No crisis management skills? Tell me the essence of transport University in Daura forest! All Amaechi do is borrow money from China, no wonder an article recently claiming the Chinese are backing him! Amechi that cannot unify Cross river APC where they speak the same language, will unify Nigeria? Amechi is a No! No! |

duality:You have someone who obviously the Governors whose State have large number of delegates in his corner and you doubt his potency to nick it? Issokay o. Me I don't deceive myself, I look at things with an open mind, hence, my submission. I am team Osinbajo, but I leave my sentiments aside when it comes to the reality. I really wish the reverse is the case, I really do wish |
| Re: Osinbajo's Problematic Ambition - The Cable by humberjade: 1:18pm On Apr 19, 2022 |
Maobichek:Yeah, didn't read through my points? I am not saying Buhari can't do it, but it will be difficult, and probably break the party. Plus Buhari doesn't know how to negotiate these things, he always wants to use force without caring whose ox is gored. But the leaders you mentioned are more diplomatic...they use carrot and stick to make people fall in line. Buhari no send person papa. For those who imposed without diplomacy, most often than not, their candidates fall short at the main election. Amosun is a typical example in 2019. |

franciskaine:Amen!!! But I am just stating the reality on ground. |
| Re: Osinbajo's Problematic Ambition - The Cable by BJanta: 1:32pm On Apr 19, 2022 |
humberjade:The president cannot impose a concensus candidate on the party , there's no provision for that in the APC constitution. Recosider Buhari's frustration and vexation in his attempt to force a concensus candidate for the party's chaimanship. He had to allow the views and candidates of other stakeholders to prevail. Hence, all elected officers in the Southwest are from Tinubu's camp, and ditto for the state governors and other strong party stakeholders in the other regions. And concesus agreement cannot be done secretly. All contenders must submit a letter of agreement to the party before the concensus can stand. If one out of one million contenders disagrees, they must all resort to direct or indirect primaries. The same reason why Tinubu is going up and down the country making consultation while other candidates are waiting for Buhari's patronage and direction.Which cannot work, because Buhari cannot openly declare a particular candidate his choice as that will definely bring down the party. As Buhari cannot go to every ward and vote his choice to victory. At the fullness of all things, he would eventually whoever wins as his candidate. |

hr will first come out with the job description before hunting for the right man Nigeria is decaying on many fronts and needs firstly someone with courage and a revolutionary mindset. tinubu will only continue with his old ways of unbridled wealth acquisition and certainly not a person to lead us out into a new path morally and economically . osinbajo is the usual Nigerian academic, they have all the theories like pat utomi and the likes and like pat utomi ,bank phb will still still die and the Volkswagen will still die despite the book brilliance of utomi.' osinbajo is deficient in courage and only comes out because he sees the possibility of him being a consensus candidate .the hard work needed to be done to be popular and be generally acceptable to all is something he will not want do and it is tinubu that must get the blame for this mindset of the osinbajos that always want the the political benefit and without having any of the burdens. truth be told osinbajo is not popular in remo and i being a remo man should know. Let him be asked what he has done for his remo community ? a leader, a charismatic leader should have followership and if the truth is told osinbajo is a commander without troops and just like ajibade was busy parading his elite/academic credentials while akpata was connecting with the lawyers ,osinbajo has spent too much time and efforts parading prizes won at schools than prizes won as the vice president of Nigeria' has he fared well defending Christian interests in the last 7 years, the answer is no where exactly has osinbajo deployed his so called brilliance to solve any of the problems confronting Nigeria. let us be fair, let us at least for now prevents tinubu, osibanjo and apc and pdp from leading a Nigeria in trouble. |

This is definitely a sponsored post by Tinubu, but he made salient points, unfortunately neither Osibanjo nor Tinubu will rule this country |
| Re: Osinbajo's Problematic Ambition - The Cable by Nauttyprof(m): 3:03pm On Apr 19, 2022 |
ityP:The answer in the same comment you mentioned. Go back to what Osinbajo did in 2018 while he was the acting president and all the positive changes that happened. Then, also ask what happened afterwards especially in Aso Rock with Buhari and his coplotters after decovering that Osinbajo few months in power outshone the years Buhari had been in power. Get facts right and you will understand the politics involved |

| Re: Osinbajo's Problematic Ambition - The Cable by drlateef: 3:32pm On Apr 19, 2022 |
Nauttyprof:The hooligan is also a thief. No politician is 100% clean. Show me one that’s clean. But Tinubu stands out. His record of success in Lagos is far beyond any other politician. |
| Re: Osinbajo's Problematic Ambition - The Cable by Nauttyprof(m): 3:37pm On Apr 19, 2022 |
drlateef:What Success that is far beyond any other politician? Is it how he is solely in charge of Lagos or how he created a finance company to be in charge of revenue of the State? |
| Re: Osinbajo's Problematic Ambition - The Cable by drlateef: 3:54pm On Apr 19, 2022 |
Nauttyprof:In what you have mentioned, he has created wealth for Lagos. Nobody can take that from him. He grew the IGR by more than 100% . He made sure Lagos survived when Obasanjo refused to release federal revenue. No previous governor has ever done that. He made Lagos self sufficient for the first time in Nigeria. No Governor has matched that. |
