Russia will soon be miserable. The west is tightening the noose gradually and by the end of a year this war started,Russia will be totally on its knees and hands. Russia will rebuild Ukraine with itself diminishing resources and will never recover from this mess for decades to come. I must give kudos to Ukraine for sustaining the war so far, honestly I never expected Ukraine to last beyond one month given that their economy had been struggling for years.

The effect of those sanctions are long term and haven't started biting yet. There's no currency that is as strong and universal as dollar so at the end of the day russia still lose.

thats what you lots have been saying since january, yet nothing changes, instead the west is feeling the heat the most.
Winter is coming and it's going to be a long one.

The Russian economy is being battered severely. Why live in denial? There is no economy, even the that of the USA which is at least 10 times the size of Russia that won't be crippled by these sanctions. None!

A Russian economist said there is nothing manufactured within Russia without a single overseas input. That basically means the manufacturing sector will collapse.

Inability to use the SWIFT payment system will make international payments challenging. The ban of flights to Russia will make it extremely difficult to receive air cargo.

You said the West is feeling the heat the most? Whose economy will collapse by at least 8% this year? It's Russia, and not the West. Even if the West should encounter a recession, I doubt it's economies will decline by 1%.
