The point of this discussion is Osinbajo.
Is it HOGWASH that the economy is all DOOM and LAMENTATIONS.
is it true that over 70 percent of osibanjo's aides both in the social programs and the economic managent team are RCCG members.
I was in apapa parish with the VP under pastor Tony rapu so I know what am talking about.
So what is HOGWASH. Please be specific?
it's natural for people under you to benefit when you occupy political office. What becomes wrong is when you base appointments based on sentiment. Npower was benefited by all and not just redeemed people.

U can accues the Vp and feign ignorance to his struggles. That is not fair judgement. He cannot say everything his his official capacity even buhari will not say he has a cabal openly.
That's the problem.
We want to put all the fault on the president. From the incompetencies of the VP and MDGs to saboteurs and vandals; It's all the president's fault.
Buhari supporters will blame the cabals to separate him from his failures too.
We keep finding excuses for them and it's pathetic!
To me, they're all failures!

My own take is that Osinbajo has been part of this government and as it is, he is the anointed candidate of Major General Buhari(rtd).
If Osinbajo should become the president of this country, he is going to continue with the Buhari's sinister policies for the first three years at least, Osinbajo heads the various economic teams and the economy of the country is presently at its lowest ebb.
It's a flimsy excuse when people say he can't do anything because he is the VP, if he has not contributed to this government, Buhari would not be anointing him.
I see Osinbajo's government as a continuation of this government whose draconian policies have dwindled our economy to the crunch.
He is going to become another Jonathan in government who can easily be manipulated.
It's high time we shunned sentiments and allowed other people with different ideas to lead us.
Let's shun religion politics, if a traditional worshiper is the chosen messiah to lead this country right, may he be enthroned.
Nobody should bamboozle us with the title of a Pastor. Many Christians are being killed under this government, what are our pastor"s efforts to stop the menace.
The VP said he wants to continue the good works of Buhari, imagine what is it that's good in this Buhari's government?
Do we want to suffer for the next 8 years again?
You're joking, right? He betrayed Buhari on multiple occasions. He wasn't loyal to him anytime Buhari travelled and made him the acting president.
You didn't even paused to ask yourself why he was almost stripped of everything including social intervention programs that were put under him and several of his aides that were either sacked or deployed.
At the beginning of this administration, he was saddled with a lots of responsibilities as never seen before in the history of Nigeria VPs. But today, Buhari has taken almost everything away from him.
Osinbajo is more like pastor Adeboye annoited candidate. Lol

If a person is disloyal, there's no crime in mentioning it and remind him and the public as many times as possible. Lol

Well the president gets the blame whether he likes,it or not or whether he has a cabal or not or whether his vp didn't perform or not.

we,can only blame others on specific things\assignments they were given to handle with full powers to execute them and it was clear they failed or where found wanting.

In what you have mentioned, he has created wealth for Lagos. Nobody can take that from him. He grew the IGR by more than 100% . He made sure Lagos survived when Obasanjo refused to release federal revenue. No previous governor has ever done that. He made Lagos self sufficient for the first time in Nigeria. No Governor has matched that.
So, with the IGR generated by Lagos. Have you asked why Lagos has still not attained mega city status? Tinubu is part of the problem.

It doesn’t happen overnight. Yet progress is being made on daily basis. We will get there. We are leaving the rest of Nigeria behind, can’t you see that?

Only fashola did a significant transformation
Ambode added little

When you make 100 milli for instance and you pocket 80 million the rest for development of infrastructure and other things; the result is what you are all seeing under Sanwo olu and Tinubu Tenure

Ever since fash left progress has been on pause or snail pace.

That one no be progress. Tinubu has always been the problem

Who pockets it? Why don’t you petition EFCC? And what’s happening in Rivers and other states? Lagos does not receive 13% oil revenue and Rivers receives highest income from Abuja, what have they done with it? Who’s pocketing Rivers money? Before Tinubu became Governor, who was pocketing Lagos money?

Read and stop stressing me please.
Article 20(3 and 4) of the APC constitution 2022 (as amended) provides provision for, direct, indirect and consensus. But I knew they will likely adopt indirect because the governors are comfortable with it.

Beautiful writeup. But if I may ask, what do you mean by "our pastors' efforts to stop the menace" of killing of Christians? Are your pastors also the same as the government and police? Are your pastors the military and civil defence?

The pastors have just a voice. And they have used it. They used it to shout and tell you not to vote in Buhari, but people went ahead and voted him twice! They criticised the government, example Bishop Kukah, Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Chris, Apostle Suleiman, Apostle Arome and a myriad of others. They also have been praying. What else do you want them to do? Some of them even opened restaurants for free food, built roads, gave out scholarships, etc. It may not be enough, but they did something.

Jonathan was not weak. He was smart but there are lots of individual and ethnic forces that control Nigeria. Jonathan gave Nigeria BVN, IPPIS, PVC, and many other initiatives to stop corruption at the grassroots level. He managed to break out of Obasanjo's grip and then they fought him with Boko Haram.

The North fought with Bojo Haram, the West with powerful media and insults, even to the point of insulting the office of the president and not just the president himself. Idiotic journalists like Babajide of TVC would come online and say all sorts of nonsense. In the end they gave Nigeria Buhari. We cam all see the result.

Tinubu was at the forefront. He betrayed the South for his personal gain. And he won't get it. Finally, Osinbajo is not the president's anointed. Nobody knows that information, at least amongst us on Nairaland. Let things play out and let's watch.

When you say we shouldn't vote Osinbajo, I hope you are not insinuating we should vote Tinubu either?

Hatchet job. He even went as far as lying that the Vice President is constitutionally in charge of the Economy whereas the only constitutional role of the Vice President is being a spare tyre. Anyway, one can expect all that mudslinging from political opponents. It is their style in Nigeria.
