The man of God, in a message shared on his Facebook page, said, “Don’t buy a phone for any child who has not gone to the university. It may sound very awkward. I know you are too civilised, but don’t do it.
Don’t buy phone, it is not civilisation, phones and tablets, many things pop up, they can use your own, let them use your own phones. Buy a landline put in your parlour.

One of our problems in this country is that we are too woke.

If you depend on your pastor to know when to buy your child a phone then you are not suppose to be a parent.

People that are yet to become parents should start praying for their unborn children to be upright and responsible.

You can't know everything your child does in your absence!

All these measures are just waste of time.

Teach the child to be responsible that's all

All my children have mobile phones. My 13 year old has a phone because we need to be able to contact him. Sometimes he's running late from school so he calls us. Sometimes he wants us to meet him at the bus-stop because it gets dark early during winter. One time, his friend was hurt so he used his phone to call an ambulance. There are many reasons children need phones and not just to surf the net.

You can buy Java phones for them, not Android or iPhones.

What Parent normally do is this... They buy a Nokia Torchlight phone and keep at home for kids in case of any emergency.

So if you know that can learn at school, why are you scare for them to learn at home. Elon musk was playing with software at home when he was under 14. By 14 he was selling his first program. His parents trusted him with tech. Today he is the richest man in the world. You don't need your pastor to teach you how to bring up your child. Every child is different and so is every home. Do your best for your child. Good luck.

With or without the internet kids have been having sex, Its not new. We have thousands of kids earning from tictok and YouTube today. Blaming the internet for the Chrisland girl's action is unwise. I rather blame her parents who did not seem to give her the needed attention not the internet. And I am not sure you know the meaning of wokeness. You might just want to browse that out. You choose to take away personal responsibility from the parents and blame the internet. What about the millions of kids that use the internet each day without sleeping with all their classmates.
