Good he is coming out of his shell. Though, he criticized past administrations generally.
There is no way, we will take anyone that tell us he continue Buhari's legacy serious
First time I'm listening Tinubu's speech, even though it is not very impressive, its far better than what Buhari have been ordering us.
The brighter side of 2023 is that even, the worst of the candidate is still better than Buhari
Don't let me deceive you, Tinubu will change this country for better. I trust his capacity. Even at his inauguration, if elected, he will make a declaration that will change the country immediately.

Tinubu is just waking up, following Buhari or seeking his approval is a waste of time. In a developed economy President Buhari is a failed leader, a pollical pariah and no one associated with him would win an election. I want to tell Tinubu categorically that the presidency is for him to grab and he should not make the mistake that Hilary Clinton made against Donald Trump (he needs to surround himself with loyal and young kids, smart with electronics, advertisement and speech writing. He should be slow to talk or react and should weighs all options before talking.
He made a mistake supporting Buhari and he should not make another mistake asking for his support because he will never get it. Buhari is a political leper and cannot bring forth a good fruit. If Tinubu had learned from history he should have realized that Buhari cannot be trusted(he is a tribalist and a bigot). You don't need to look far into the past to see how Buhari treated Yoruba and Igbo political leaders after the Shagari Coup of 1983(all Yoruba and Igbo leaders were detained at KiriKiri and other harsh Prisons scattered all over the federation while northern leaders like Sabo Barkin Zuwo and others were kept under house arrest, eating good food and having sex with their wife and concubines. Leaders like Bisi Onabanjo, Adekunle Ajasin, Professor Ambrose Alli, Sam Mbakwe etc died shortly after they were released secondary to deterioration and poor quality of health and other conditions they were subjected to. A man like Buhari should never have been given an opportunity to ever rule a complex country like Nigeria. He is not a politician, does not know how to play politics. Atiku would have been 100x better than this man and he would not have betrayed you. You need to open your eyes and stay with the political stake holders. Buhari is a lame duck and cannot help you. THE PARTY is superior to the president(Parties have been known to remove Presidents and not the other way around that you are practicing . 2 Presidents were removed by their party in South Africa, British Prime Ministers are removed by their Party. President Biden, Clinton, Obama, Donald Trump cannot remove the Democratic or Republican Party Chairmen etc. Another mistake Tinubu made was not assuming the post of the party chairman- immediately after he was betrayed in 2015(that is another route to the Presidency- President Walker Bush( late) was once a republican Party chairman and he cashed in on that post when it was time to contest for the presidency. The Glorified National party leader is a nonexistent position and powerless. Politics is a game of number (play it well and victory is yours). You must be ready to play hard, play dirty, no mercy, no retreat, no surrender. The end justifies means. You cannot display all your armory in Public. You must limit your core loyalist and advisers( you must be able to fish out over ambitious disciples.

Was he not part of those promises huh?

We were all here when he was shouting buhari will do this will do that in 2015.

Nigerians should have learnt their lesson by now
I can even excuse him for 2015, but what has buhari done to deserve his support in 2019 if he truly has the interest of the masses at heart like he is claiming. Would he be blasting buhari if its obvious he is his preferred candidate?

There’s no way any of the presidential aspirants will campaign without attacking Buhari.

How Osinbajo intends to go about it is what I don’t know.

It seems Mr Tinubu has started the dirty fight he promised the presidency.

I'm one of Buhari's staunch supporters but with all sincerity, after the Buhari's Presidential experiment I won't vote for any aged or frail-looking aspirant no matter the claim of his competence & capacity.

The greatest undoing of PMB is his age/health, and the fact that he has been out of touch with government. These are equally militating factors against Mr Tinubu candidature that I won't want to repeat itself.

Politics is entirely different from governance.
Ur not being sincere.
Buhari performing has nothing to do with his health or age.
The decisions that he has taken are u saying he was on life support?
If u even say he has bad eggs around him I will belive.
But to use age and health as excuse is just not pure

Let be honest with ourselves, no APC member can openly criticize his party leader like president. To me, Tinubu statement is just a remark and not necessarily a criticism.

Besides, people are always talking about bullion Vans but they fail to ask who send him the bullion Vans. All of them are corrupt.
Please don't twist the narrative. He clearly stated on live TV that the money in the bullion vans belonged to him. He said it with his own mouth. So, nobody sent him the money. It is his! If you doubt me, watch that video again where Seun Okinbaloye asked him about the vans.

When they make those stupid statements to spite Nigerians they never ever think it will come back to haunt them.

Excellent writeup! I read it all. I loved the way you spat out facts.

Atiku would have been a billion times better than Buhari. I imagine that Tinubu had sought that alliance with Atiku, it would have worked and Atiku wouldn't have turned his back on Tinubu.

What annoyed me all through this administration is the fact that people saw the unbelievable failures of Buhari and still praised him. And are still praising him till date when he is just a few months to leave that office.

Well, let's see how it plays out.

Then how can buhari endorse him (tinubu) & tinubu continueing from where PMB stops just as his vice(osinbajo) said. I am tinking how d campaign will look like.

Could this be the reason why SE seems to be far more developed than these other states?. Ebonyi as the least developed state in the east and presently fast developing, ranks better than most states in other regions. Anambra is the second most urbanized state after Lagos. SE remains the most densely populated region in Nigeria. Imo is the most educated and literate state in Nigeria with the highest JAMB enrollment of 12 to 13% of total JAMB applicant for the past two and half decades. Goggle punch newspaper and see that just Anambra, Imo and Enugu state produces the highest number of doctors, Lawyers and Engineers in Nigeria. Goggle and don't argue. Imo state still have the Highest female enrollment into universities as well as most successful candidates. 4 of the SE states have the highest cut off mark in Unity federal schools with Anambra 139, IMO 138 while other states are lagging far behind. SE igbos remains the second highest number in population in any state in Nigeria after the indegenous people.
SE remains the only part of the country with almost Entirely local manufacturers who may not need Dangote or BUA to develope them.
SEners build the largest and most prominent markets in cities like Lagos. The city with the greatest craftsmanship is Enyimba city Aba with their market said to be small and medium scale factory warehouse, exporting their finnished products to other west Africa and beyond.
SE pioneered the first private bank Orient, first private University etc.

Finally SE is becoming a strong self made region due to lack of federal infrastructural presence as seen in other regions but comparing SE with any other regions in terms of urbanization is like comparing Singapore with Sierra Leone. It is not in size but in content of what you carry. Can you imagine that this small number as you have seen as cheated by the number of states in her region are making the greatest impact in this country more than any region. The whole of Niger state is bigger than the whole of SE by land size but Anambra state alone is almost twice their population. Niger state population is only comparable with that of Ebonyi or Abia state. LET ME STOP HERE. RESPECT SE.

We remember everything!

Age and health issues will be the greatest undoing to a Tinubu aspiration. He will be asked to shelve his ambition for a younger candidate
APC will not like to project and older candidate after PMB have complained that old age is having a toll on him
Tinubu knows this but he believes his contacts and funds will get him the ticket
He keep harping on a level playing ground for all contestants denigrating the powers and influence of president to sway opinion and voting
Tinubu has been making and unmaking governors in Lagos since 2007, yet he doesn't want PMB to choose his successor?
Can this work in a clime like ours?

The desperation is high brother. Tinubu wants to win by all means, even at the cost of Buhari's legacy. And there goes the dilemma. You can't castigate Buhari and you expect Buhari not to retaliate during the primaries. It's not possible. Buhari will met out to Tinubu same hand he metted out to Ambode
