He should read the Bible? The Bible is the most useless book when talking about issues like this. At what point in history have nations gone to war with nuclear weapons. What happened in Japan in 1945 would be child's play because as at now countries like Russia and the US have developed way more devastating bombs. So be careful what you wish for

The primary reason why Russian troops are doing quite badly is because they have a severe shortage of Sargeants. The Russian army is notorious for bullying and hazing, hence, many recruits don't stay long enough to reach that post.

Thats why Russia is losing many high ranking officers- they are forced to take up some of the duties of the Sargeants, hence get into harms way.
