N0nsense government. Election is here. Why did you make life difficult for citizens in The first place? The price of rice doubled because of this mumu shutting down of border, meanwhile local rice production never increased one bit. So we just suffered for nothing. They are mad. Just because election is coming. There was no reason for the closure right from the onset. This alone is enough for Southwesterners to vote out APC for intentionally depriving many of their source of livelihood. Now, show me one positive contribution the closure of the border has brought to the southwest aside inflation in the prices of foods and food shortage? I thought they closed those borders to encourage local production of rice and to control foreign exchange and stabilize the local currency. Rice imports were blamed on dollar appreciation against the naira. Maybe it is now they realized their actions backfired 23 Likes |
