There is HCA band 3 for NHS.
Just want to know if NHS is prefer to care home and do they offer full sponsorship?

Of cos, NHS always offer sponsorships for band 3 jobs and above. They're pretty difficult to get into though and more fast-paced, even though they don't pay as much as care homes. People mostly only like them because they make their CVs look good and they give women as long as one year for omugwo time out...but that's it. Work your way up steadily in a care home, arming yourself with the right trainings and you could be a manager someday and earn as much as 85k pounds per annum. Nobody in care earns that much in the NHS, trust me.

The kind of DBS used in Health and Social Care is Enhanced DBS. However, I do not know if you can do a DBS check outside the UK as you need a UK address.

Thank you for your time . I applied outside UK but had previous UK address with my NI 9years ago . Do you think that was the reason they required a DBS check even after I already gave them PCC from here .

Please how do I tell an employer that I can't (don't want to) resume sooner than August? I eventually got the offer letter but it says to pick an induction date from the ones that have been lined up from may to June 24th. That's the earliest date is two weeks from now and the farthest is two months. I've not done naric, I've not built my account...I never prep other necessities...house rent, flight ticket...
Which kain wahala be this for oyinbo people? I imagined say na after CoS we go De speak all this English. Should I tell them that I want to wait for their CoS first? What if they give me the CoS tomorrow tomorrow?

Oh really. I didn't know there is band 3 HCA in nhs. Thanks for the info.
And yes, NHS offer full sponsorship.
The advantage of NHS over care home is that, you won't have to pay nhs surcharge fees but the work load can be a lot and it's not as flexible as care homes.

Speak to the contact person that you cannot resume before August due to financial constraint. Ask if they can provide financial assistance to you and have it deducted from your salary over time. If they cannot, ask if the resumption date can be extended (give a fixed date). If this is also refused, then you have to choose between sourcing for funds and forfeiting the offer.

Ask regards building up of account, you can ask if it will be stated that they will provide maintenance for the first month on your CoS. If yes, then you do not need to build account. Most organisations do so anyway, so that should not be a problem.

Most of us are really eager to accept this employment offer and relocate as soon as possible. I once did that and later discover that it will take me more than 8months to quit present job if all benefits will follow. Mine now is FEAR OF UNKNOWN

What's the fear about?

Have you gotten your visa or application is in process?

If you have gotten the job in UK then start the process with your present employer to resign.

Before you know it 8months has reached and you must have gotten all you need to relocate.

Just explain to your UK employer to postpone your resumption due to the requirements you need to get your visa and resign properly from your current job.

Be sincere as much as you can with your UK employer.
If God says the job is yours let fear be far from your heart.

@Ijyoma... how you doing baby? ...
was skimming through the whole thing till i saw Cc Jiigga .... . .. lol

but look, , the home boy @dee1504 already said everything... ... .. let the folks know YOUR OWN program & see if it sits well with them ..

give you an example with mine >>> First time they called, they was asking when i thought i'ld be ready for an interview , , told em the truth... . im in nigeria, , i got power problems & such , , but i'll try to make the interview , , they obliged but said to let them know . .....
i eventually sat the interview at the designated time .. ... .. . . long story short ..

POINT IS...... Always let the people know your own program / how its gonn work , sit well with you .... NO FEAR !!!!

Best wishes again yeah??.. . its gonn be good .. . ALWAYS !!!

Believe that !!!

Lil trivia ...
during that call , , i even asked the chik like how many people is gonn be at the mdf**n interview ?? .. .. . . just so i know what im walking into , , she answered the thing... .
So have no fear , , tell / ask em what you want..
Not saying to come off as an asshole though !!!!

@Ijyoma

if i may speak on this too >>>> > Contact person had asked how soon I can make it to the UK, me looking at other people's mata spanning like four months, had said as soon as possible, <<<<<<<<

Because you are already unique, , Do NOT be a follower , , believe NOTHIN of what you hear and HALF of what you see .. ..
Translation = use your discretion at all times / in everything .. .. . ALWAYS take out the meat & dump the bone ...

>>>>>> I did not know she will now take my word for it like that <<<<<<<

i know its different in nigeria, , but overseas , , they always take your word , , cos as far as they concerned, its the truth ..
thats why you gotta watch what you say & be specifically clear at all times .. and stand on your word too ..
Thats the motto !!!.. .. . at least for me..

All the best hun....

Contact me if you need payment for naric. I can assist with my dollar account.
Kaylaonah:

NARIC is wayyyy above the $20 limit so you won't be able to pay for it with your MasterCard. You'll need a dollar card, or someone willing to pay for you while you pay the naira equivalent or use Barter.

Try and know their core values and translate it to your answer in case u are asked tricky question like'what value are you or can you bring into the system '

Thanks for the heads up, please what if the care home said ("note, you must have received your 2 COVID-19 vaccination for this role"wink and I have not received any. So what should I tell them.

Hello. I am new here and I have beneficial info for those preparing for their IELTS for UKVI.

Passing IELTS for UKVI is not that difficult IF you wrote your O Level WAEC/NECO yourself and got at least C6.

The British Council has even made the training simple and straightforward with their online IELTS training platform called Guided e-Learning (GEL).

What many of us do not know or take note of is that after paying for the IELTS for UKVI, British Council will send a link to your email to have FREE access to the GEL (I can't confirm whether this applies to those writing the standard IELTS). If you have already paid for the IELTS for UKVI, check all the emails sent to you by the British Council to confirm this.

I also did not know this until a friend told me. I used it for 4 weeks and I got L = 7.5, R = 7.5, W = 7, S = 7 and Overall = 7.5.

If you are a slow learner like me, you can book to write your IELTS for UKVI in 5 weeks' time so that you can have ample time to explore it thoroughly because there are so many guided resources and videos for Practice and Mock for each aspect.

I can guarantee 100% that you can never get any material better than this because it is straightforward and just like plug and play.

What you need is just to plan your preparation and explore the GEL thoroughly to maximize your score.

You made a very vital point here and it's the truth. I was somehow scare of this exam but a British Council link was sent to me for preparation and anytime I take the mock test, my results has never been below 300 marks out of 500.
I am now confident to sit for it.

Hi guys. My employer contacted me that they have received their licence and have applied for a defined Cos first to know how the process would be before requesting for mine. However, they said it shouldn't take more than a day to receive it and we should discuss about our logistics while we wait. It's been over 2 weeks and they haven't gotten back to me if they had recieved the cos or not. I have mailed them to know the update but they haven't responded. Is it that they haven't gotten the cos yet? I don't know why they haven't respond yet
