It's because they know that when a man is being starved, his brain can be manipulated and be made sombre and that is exactly the reason our so called politicians are making poverty to continue to eat deep into the Nigerian system so that when it is time for election they can easily manipulate a hungry man to do their bidding.

Any leader who is not dolling out money bags means well for the people. If Nigeria fails to get a selfless economically sound Leader in 2023, it is done for the nation. Sentiment apart, it will be terrible for Nigeria if they get a wrong leader in 2023. Mark my words.

Same mistake Jonathan made. Was busy developing and pacifying the North with monumental projects towards his reelection bid. Unbeknownst to him, their heart were already made up for a Northern candidate. Trusting the North when they have not given you their word is like trusting a soldier ant not to bite.

Some politicians are just too proud in their thinking. They have decided that the masses are too silly, hungry and beggarly, therefore, will accept to vote for them, when they share those insulting materials. The whole essence of politics is sale of developmental ideas, principles, plans etc to the electorate, and not sharing of cheap consumables.
