Then in the first and second republic the Igbos were the people dominating the Eastern part of Nigeria, the south-south and south west were the minority and they marginalized them. Every positions then were the Igbos occupying it now they are talking about fairness equity and justice. I think what is hindering the Igbos now is karma nothing else. So if they want to be president they should fight for it and stop waiting for it to be given to them at a platter of gold.
Looking at it politically they did not contribute much in APC they only threw their eggs in one basket that is PDP.

The issue is that pdp can't win. We both know that. It's apc or nothing. If we can rally around any Northerner, that's gonna be a good start. We can only clinch the pdp ticket but it's not going to take us anywhere. Apc will win irrespective of who they present

That's the most honourable step to take given that politics of tribalism and/or prejudice takes precedence over politics of principle and conviction in the country - no wonder the country is in shambles.

Politics being a game of numbers, it makes no sense for someone from the South East to waste his time and resources contesting for the office of the president of the country under the present configuration and mindset of the majority of the citizens, unless it's microzone to it, since the majority of the voters from the areas that have the larger voting strengths are consciously and unconsciously prejudicial against the people of the zone - only a fool will not acknowledge this.

Quitting the race won't be because he lacks courage and other personal wherewithals required to see his aspiration to fruition, no, but because the majority of the voters are imbecilic, small-minded, and foolish in general.

In a country where small-minded elements and foolish elements in general are in the majority, expecting them to subscribe to politics of principle and conviction - the hallmark of sane people and voters - is like expecting a horse to pass through the eye of a needle.

Oga, fear God. Don't say we didn't contribute anything. Acn was a formation of new pdp, ac , cpc, apga & anpp. Two out of those parties were igbos.

We, the igbos are saying that the right thing be done. All southerners can not talk about equity & justice when a particular region has been a president for 8 year, vice for another 8 years & still aspiring to occupy that position in the upcoming election. GEJ was hand picked by OBJ in fairness to SS.. Dora Akunyili moved a motion during FEC for cabals to hand over to him.. in fairness to SS/GEJ..
