Na this your advise put me for issue like this. I already locked May 17th. I cancel the 17th to book 4th. Now I don’t have any active booking because the may 4th Dey show error since

Happened to a friend. When she got there on the for example may 4th they say they cannot attend to her that her booking is may 17. I told her don't go anywhere. Ask to speak to the manager and show her that booking email that showed 4th. If there is a glitch in the system how is it the candidate fault. When she showed the email of 4th they relaxed and said yes it their system fault and allowed her do the TB... this was last month , lagos branch

Just print out the email confirming may 4th go there and dont leave until someone agrees ..lol. you might end up doing it late but u can get it done that day if you insist

Please I just enrolled for the exam today. I haven’t received any link for the mock. Is it possible you help share the link ??

They did it in a way that you can't use another person's link unless he gives you his log in details.

Be patient, they send the link to you separately anytime from now.

The funniest part of it is that you won't be able to access the platform again immidietly you finish test on your test day.

Those people wise no be small.

Hi guys. My employer contacted me that they have received their licence and have applied for a defined Cos first to know how the process would be before requesting for mine. However, they said it shouldn't take more than a day to receive it and we should discuss about our logistics while we wait. It's been over 2 weeks and they haven't gotten back to me if they had recieved the cos or not. I have mailed them to know the update but they haven't responded. Is it that they haven't gotten the cos yet? I don't know why they haven't respond yet

Have you checked on that tier 2 sponsor list to see if they have been added to it?

Yes. They have their licenced already and only applied for cos allocation. The day they got their allocation, they were very excited and informed me. But now they haven't communicated for more than 2 weeks

That's for those that have their documents not written in English. They'll need a translation for that. If your documents are written in English, pls ignore that part.

It's different from the letter you'll get from your school stating that you were taught in English. This one is "a must" to attach.

Thanks Dee, lemme goan be asking. I was the one that put myself in this mess. Contact person had asked how soon I can make it to the UK, me looking at other people's mata spanning like four months, had said as soon as possible, like yesterday...make I for pass interview well nau. I did not know she will now take my word for it like that. cry
As per funds, I will just ask sha..otherwise, people that don't want to pay for five days training will now take care of me in the first month?
The right questions to ask is if they will provide maintenance for your visa and indicate on your COS. Also ask questions about your relocation and the assistance they are ready to provide. Already this are questions you were supposed to ask during your interview. But ask questions. Some of them provide assistance up to visa fee, flight and accommodation.

During interview that you're still praying to get the job, you want to start asking such questions.

The one time I tried to go deep with my CoS questions, they told me when the time comes, the right department will contact me. That was the only interview I didn't get the job. That was one of the best interview's I've had. I'm not saying that might be the reason for denial, but you never know.

It sounds like an ideal question to ask, but I don't think it's really necessary. You have lots of time to ask that after you have your offer.

Well, until I see the CoS..because there are so many connotations from the application stage through to the interview that I really cannot overthink. I wouldn't say that I'm one to shy away from questions but there's a fine line between assertiveness and outright pesky...I already felt honored to be granted the interview and so all I had in mind was to pour my lines and zap out of there..

As innn...
I'd even asked her what the hiring decision timeline was and she said she wouldn't say...is that the one I want to be asking visa support...? We'll see though. Let me just be looking for my funds..if they surprise me, halleluyah....if they don't, oo..

I am so fagged out, trying to get that thing to come off the page, I don't understand. One day gone and I don't know a way around it. It's just there...and even if I click submit, it takes me back to the former page and never ticks the status good. I don't understand again. Another question, does fast track really fast track?

Modified;
Found a way around this..they actually required that I write an epistle..didn't want to believe it at first, but there goes ..

2 days before is fine but be ready ... you can't start uploading and say I come back and upload some more later . So have everything ready so once you start you finish

Kindly drop this attitude.

Your relationship with your employer is transactional, they need your service, and they will pay for it. It's not a honour, it's not a favour, you were interviewed because you were qualified and they believed you are capable of providing a service in a way that they are willing to sponsor your visa in addition to paying your wages.

NB advice to all.

Read UK employment up on laws

Read up on modern day slavery

Read up on discrimination

Read up on hate crime laws

UK is a country that works, don't let anyone ride/bully you. Know your rights.

Your employer is your employer, the day something happens to you they will find a replacement immediately. No do pass wetin you fit do. The contract you sign details a 2 way relationship/responsibility.

No body should use sack letter or salary threating you.

And lastly mind the contract you sign, read it, read it again and read it carefully. Anything you don't understand on the contract ask employer to explain.

Anything you don't like on the contract ask employer if it could be changed.

Good luck. And those coming with kids, remember don't beat kids, don't threaten to beat them, don't threaten them with Africa. Everything has to be done codedly. There are people whose kids were collected by social services. Babies as young as few weeks old

Some are lucky to get them back some aren't.

Anything that has to do with the law please get a lawyer, or read the law properly with extreme care. No go follow dem say dem say. Last last every man sha Carry his cross.

If you want to be successful, move with successful people

If you move with people who talk about woman, alcohol and Nigeria's problem daily, that will be your circle, and you will progress as much as that bubble permits

What's the fear about?

Have you gotten your visa or application is in process?

If you have gotten the job in UK then start the process with your present employer to resign.

Before you know it 8months has reached and you must have gotten all you need to relocate.

Just explain to your UK employer to postpone your resumption due to the requirements you need to get your visa and resign properly from your current job.

Be sincere as much as you can with your UK employer.
If God says the job is yours let fear be far from your heart.
I appreciate your advice and it helps. I submitted my indeed and true profile.io CV last night to like 30 NHS /care homes, I woke up to see invitation for video interview by care Mack recruiter, thx God it's a success. They only ask for DL and when can I start work if employed and I said 8 months time.
Dey promise to get back in 2weeks time but if dey didn't it means I lost the job. My joy is that I was recognized within 6 hours.

You are actually correct. Thank you.
Again, I had applied to Healthcare Assistant days (because of kids I hope to bring in later, otherwise nights have better pay). But in the offer, I see they added nights and I don't know if that is something to even contest, as Nigeria has conditioned our minds to assume that in healthcare, you can't avoid working nights...
What do you think?

After every other interview they ask you if you also have questions. That is where you should ask these questions constructively its funny how you think asking an organization informations about your own working conditions is why you didn’t get the job. Any organization that is not ready to give you informations about little things like your own relocation to work for them is not worth working for in the first place. I asked all my questions during the interview including if they have license and how many days cos will take. I asked about when i will get an offer incase i am a successful candidate and if I have to sign a contract. Remove Nigerian mentality and ask questions. Yes I got the job

Hi, a friend of mine who is a qualified nurse is getting ready to start applying for jobs,
She has her nursing certificate, well experienced and detailed CV, references, about to register for IELTS.
1) For IELTS is it academic or general?
2) what other documents does she need?
3) how best can she get a job as a nurse? She is currently exploring indeed jobs, would that be ok? Or is there a faster way?

Please kindly respond, I know this may have been answered somewhere, but please throw some light if you can. Thanks

Very intelligent to clinch it first and ask questions later indeed, if you ask me. I mean it's not like we don't play doctor Phil to a whole lot of others, waiting to go in and NOT ask questions. So thanks.

If she's a Registered nurse and wanna continue with that in UK, let her do the academic &OET. Their tier is different from this assistance route
