Smallest state in Nigeria by landmass with these so much population, industrialization and urbanization. Why not decongest the port and allow other regions in Nigeria to grow. That's how Nigeria can grow collectively. Nigeria doesn't start and ends iin Lagos. FG is so shortsighted. 6 Likes 1 Share |

That Lekki is ,45 mins okada ride to Ondo state, but the govt of Ondo and Ogun are not smart enough to tap into that to develop their region. You can live in ondo and work in Lagos, Arive in Less than an hour. They should build the road network to accelerate development in that place. Real estates can grow there, people can build better houses with lawns instead of the choking kinda accomodation obtainable here in Lagos. Our mumu never do 10 Likes 1 Share |

Fantasticcc:This is what I don't really understand. How is Yoruba sabotaging the seaports and intl airports of other regions? Is Yoruba region that influential? I don't think so. Also remember that these other ports were once functioning. What happened? Why did they suddenly stop functioning? Jonathan was President for 5 years. Why didn't he make any move to accelerate development of the ports in SS/SE? Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom is developing Ibom deep sea port. Did Yoruba stop him? Even if they want to stop him, how will they go about it? Obiano constructed international airport in Anambra. Did Yoruba stop him? Guy stop all these yama yama jargons of SW stopping other regions from progressing. Na lie. 13 Likes |

Ykc2: Common wealth like what and what exactly?? pls Be factual. Was it FG that brought Dangote to Lagos, or was it FG that is building Lekki deep Seaport or is it FG that is building Eko Atlantic City? Is it FG that is building Imota Rice Mill? Or should LASG not industrialize her state since others choose to b dubious with stupid leaders? U people will call us Tinubu slave but don't know what we've gained from Tinubu.. Did GEJ not preside the country and why didn't he work on Other Southern Seaport if u feel SW is the one sabotaging other seaport, rubbish falacy. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

tunapawizzy:Very valid submission there comrade. I once told someone that with the money Lagos state has been generating for over two decades now, there shouldn't be any undeveloped part of Lagos by now. The infrastructural deficits fall short of the so called IGR and not the other way around. That is, the IGR generated in the past 2 decades should have been enough to ensure all parts of Lagos are developed. It's a very small state for crying out loud. The smallest state in Nigeria, I think. 5 Likes 1 Share |

safesurfer:YOu are very correct...I wonder why so many people do not see this OR just choose not to see this...The leaders and owners of Lagos are focused on politics, not governance......Lagos generates between 40 and 50billion naira every month(inflated projects not included)......people need to understand the kind of infrastructure jjust 5 billion naira can build to understand what is happening...right now the whole of Lagos should at worst be a construction site 4 Likes 1 Share |
