Work on one port, warri port, Calabar port, akwa ibom port and others should be hastened and should be made to handle consumer goods as well not just oil and gas It would go a long way |

[quote author=Echoban post=112378157] Common wealth like what and what exactly?? pls Be factual. Was it FG that brought Dangote to Lagos, or was it FG that is building Lekki deep Seaport or is it FG that is building Eko Atlantic City? Is it FG that is building Imota Rice Mill? Or should LASG not industrialize her state since others choose to b dubious with stupid leaders? U people will call us Tinubu slave but don't know what we've gained from Tinubu.. Did GEJ not preside the country and why didn't he work on Other Southern Seaport if u feel SW is the one sabotaging other seaport, rubbish falacy. They should send the chestbeaters back to their region. They said Tinubu owns Lagos and has run it into the ground. So they won’t mind. 2 Likes |

Re: Population Surge Threatening Lagos Island’s Economic Growth – LCCI by grandstar(m): 5:21pm On Apr 29, 2022 |
No government, from OBJ to Buhari has taken the issue of very rapid population growth seriously. Though the rate has slowed, it is not by much. It's only the middle class that limit children to 2 or at most 3. In the South, the married poor seem bent on having 5 or 6 kids per woman. In the North, it's 7 or more. This can't continue. Already the country is fraying because of burgeoning growth. The fights between farmers and murderous herdsmen is partly fuelled by less free pasture for their cattle to graze on due to expansion of farmlands. Nigeria can cut its population growth rate to about 1 5% or even less. India and Indonesia could teach Nigeria a thing or 2 in this area. 3 Likes |

MrMaestro: Tinubu is far more of a burden to Lagos than any solution. Lagos state does not need anybody to gag it as godfather. Lagos is the most spontaneous and self sustaining state in Nigeria. Stop all this nonsense about one man built Lagos. Lagos state made Tinubu, not the other way round. |
Re: Population Surge Threatening Lagos Island’s Economic Growth – LCCI by MrMaestro: 5:44pm On Apr 29, 2022 |
pacespot:Not at all. if Tinubu was more of a burden, why is it far and away the best performing state in the country instead of the FCT? Nearly 2 decades later and no state comes close. But Tinubu is holding the state back right? No sane person will believe that garbage. Of all the oil in the SS, all the focus FCT gets, no state comes close, and yet you say Tinubu is holding Lagos back, and the other governors are what? Pushing their states forward? Please get sense. 5 Likes |

MrMaestro: It is you that need a proper sense and orientation. A state where an elected governor by the people could not complete his second term because of a godfather who felt the state was fast slipping away from him grasp. Take all Nigerian ports out of Lagos, then you will realize that Lagos is nothing. Tinubu did not build Lagos. The slavery mentality of people like you is what is cheapening away Lagos to charlattans like Tinubu. How has his presence or existence benefited a common man in Lagos, is Tinubu a technocrat or architect needed for the city planning? You need to get down from your slave cart and think like a human 1 Like |
