Tope Awotona has officially been acknowledged as the wealthiest Nigerian American immigrant ever, with a net worth of $1.4 Billion. As a self made billionaire, he has surpassed the likes of Tyler Perry and Jay Z in wealthiest African Americans. His company Calendly has yet to go public on the NYSE or NASDAQ, which could leap him above Dangote as the wealthiest black person in the world if it does go public.
