rest? If he is fit, he should play maybe come in during the second half. We can't afford to be slack at this time o...it's just 4 matches to go...they will have all the rest they can get since world cup is I'm November.
Pepe will be rusty by now sef grin

I swear, aboniki balm plus massage. We've been protecting Tomi for months, make that him calf no fall our hand oo.

As for Nketiah, I just believe he was unlucky ystdy especially that his effort from Elneny fine pass. The rest mostly was just lacking enough power which made Fabianski to point it away. But then, once I see accuracy like that, it's just time that Nketiah needs before he'll start hitting the Back of the net frequently. Aside that, I love the way he carve out chances for himself and his movements.(hope spy no go look me bad eye tongue)
grin grin no mind spy
I agree with you on Nketiah. He was part of why yesterday's match was funny to me. Baba will run to the wing, receive pass then cut in through Zouma's toro and shoot grin grin grin
He repeated it thrice yesterday...even ESR tried it once but bro Lokoja shoot way outside the stadium grin grin
One mind is telling me we should allow Nketiah to stay, another mind is telling me all na fuse...you know how our players normally improve anytime contract negotiation is around na... grin

Lol, I saw Son goal ystdy, but to me it still doesn't matter. If Tottenham was playing Chelsea, I would have been afraid, but they're playing Liverpool away, who are in crazy form and are also eyeing the league. They both needed the match and Liverpool is at an advantage

If you tell me to pick between the group of Son/kane/kuluveski or Salah/Mane/Jota/Diaz, I know who I'll put my money on.
Well...let's see what happens. If we later qualify for UCL, Xhaka will be breaking a jinx grin

Saliba will have to show he is better than Holding. This team needs Holding next season
Holding definitely gave a good account of himself. Saliba would just be making noise, let him come next season and fight for his shirt.

Inasmuch as we need strikers and midfielders...Edu and Arteta should play close attention to our FBs too. Soarez is not solid defensively though he is athletic and Tierney is injury prone too.
I heard there is this Norton-cuffy from U23 though I've never watched him but his physique great for a defender even though I wouldn't judge him with that..Tavarez comes to mind grin ....There is Spence too from Nottingham Forest
I'm currently looking at Cucurella...a perfect Tierney's similario...

Exactly...apart from all this playing from the back stuff, Holding seems to be our best defender. Na from his younger days baba don dey handle all those bullish strikers grin grin grin
Costa, Lukaku et al.... I was not worried when Moyes brought in Antonio yesterday... General Holding will always keep him in check

I may not say 'best' but when players know how to apply their experience it's always a joy to watch. I remember Mertesacker against Chelsea in FA cup final a couple of years back, that was a master piece of experience play.

Nketiah did a good job playing as a lone forward, and making sure those defenders are busy watching their backs. Which favoured Arteta's conservative approach to the game.

One thing he offers is the ability to take on his man, alone.

But he needs to improve in his finishing in terms of adding more power to his shot without affecting accuracy.

I did not want to say anything about Nketiah but you and Jodera pushed me into this comment grin grin grin

Can we talk about our improvement in offensive and defensive set pieces? We are now dangerous and difficult to defend against during set pieces because our players are finding the space inside the box to attack the ball.

Lol, it depends on him. If he wants to be like a 2nd choice striker, then arsenal can and renew his contract if not then he's off. He's proven that he's a good attacker esp in this our trying time but I feel he'll be thinking about his age and how he should be starting at clubs even if it's at a midtable club.

I wish him all the best on his decision tho

True... He would have scored at least a brace ystdy if only those his shots had more power in that his accuracy.

I've really been impressed with his performance from Chelsea's game

Well, he's good attacking-wise, can dribble and have average cross tho.

In modern game, his defensive contribution (1st half of this season) wasn't bad. So if he can be improved on in terms of defensive positioning and better decisions, then he'll be a good fullback. He's still young and raw

This is something that haven't been credited enough. Arsenal of before and arsenal of now, I can see that vast improvement in terms of our setpieces defensively and offensively

I don't think we have any captain material right now. Ode is too gentle and soft...the was Rice was bullying Nketiah yesterday, he wouldn't dare it with Viera or Tony Adams on the pitch.

They're already setting up the defence for that West Ham free kick and the incidence happened on the other half so it took them long to get there....

I wasn’t interested in the fight . I was more concerned about our players setting up defence for the free kick knowing how dangerous those hammers can be at set pieces . I like the fact that they didn’t let Rice or any of the hammers get into their head at that point. Nketiah handled himself well against Rice in that incident . I think Odegaard did well to later calm Nketiah down afterwards in order to avoid more sanctions other than the already issued yellow card.

Honestly I have so much confidence whenever we concede a corner. Even West Ham who are good at set pieces left empty handed.

Lol .. What's the reason you don't want Xhaka to be given?
If it's been soft, I don't think he is

I want him to leave...Xhaka is not soft but just too hotheaded. His yellow card against Man U is a perfect example.
