rvp2018:
You can never compare kenya macro-economic and Ghana.
Nobody will invest in a country whose currency is prone to hyperinflation like Ghana.
Nobody will invest in a country whose macro-economics are unstable.
Stability and predictability - low risk - that what Ghana has never nailed - nobody want to sleep with Cedis and wake up tomorrow to find they lost value.
That is why your economy is still dollarized.
Kenya macro-economics are solid - lasting many years.
We have had very minor issues - that we have immediately corrected.
That is why when you see Nairobi or Mombasa and compare it Accra or Kumasi you want to CRY.
And we dont have Gold, or Oil, or Aluminium, or Diamond.
We got nothing.
We dont have enough arable land...just 11% of the land.
Yet Ghana receives more investment than Kenya will ever receive in 10 years .
Everyone will invest in a country where there are serious opportunities everywhere and in all sectors and there is profit to be made when ever they invest. Unfortunately you can't have that in Kenya because investors are always not making profit ... This is all because your country economic data is always faked to full gullible people to invest their little money in Kenya.

Who in his sane mind will compare villages like Nairobi and Mombasa to Accra and Kumasi?
I will always tell you that those 2 slummish villages in your country can only at best be compared to Takoradi.

For those two places in your country to Catch up to Accra and Kumasi in development, your country will require 35 billion dollars in investment...

This is why Nairobi and Mombasa shamelessly lose in every field of development to these two places in Ghana, and everytime you bitterly run to tantrums. grin grin

When your country because highly productive and export orientated, you won't be in This current mess.

Kenya is doing well - it could do better - but last 1-2yrs it certainly come under stress from exogenous and internal factors - but it still growing and way more resilient that mini and major zoo.

Nigeria the zoo grew by 1.5% despite Oil hitting the roof. Your country still has to import the same Oil smiley - then subsidize it with same oil export money. A VERY crazy country you got there.

Imagine your zoo gov instead of celebrating historic high oil prices as an oil producers....is crying more than Kenya smiley - because they have to import refine oil and subsidize smiley smiley it

Exactly @ bolded. We are prophets. We told them kenya was not experiencing any real growth but just cooking the figures. Now they can't eat those fake figures. Reality has set in.

Boy you don't know shit.

Ashanti Gold for the Greatest part of the Century and the last 2 decade was mostly Ghanaian owned. And as much as possible Ghanaians still end up taking about 80% of whatever good is produced here.

I would be very much worried with you guys having to dash out 80% of your fertile lands to foreign conglomerate and Arab nations to grow useless tea and food for their own country while you lazy kids go hungry daily.

You're equivocating. It was simple question that a yes or no answer would have surmised. No need for tortured arguments. We know you paid 70B dollars in pure gold to stop the Brits from sitting on the golden stool (instead of making thousands of golden stool for every Ghanian to sit on) after you were done exporting own citizens as slaves worldwide for the prize of a colourful dress- Indonesian dutch print(Ankara).

Your simping is nothing new. It's been going on for 500yrs.

You're just running all around looking for straws to hold on to but none of them will change your country current mess.

It will take you another 4 to 10 years for you guys to get out of this mess and even that will depend of if you are will to put in the work and stop cooking data.

For a country that was hunted as slaves for the Arab world because of what a weakling you guys were, I don't even expect you to be talking about slaves, especially to a group of people who were never slaves to anyone but were mostly the Victors of war who takes away the spoils of war.

This is basic knowledge and rules of war.

Well I don't blame them anymore. Check all over YouTube and Twitter, you'll see it's Nigerians who debase themselves the most. You'll see a YouTube channel where a foreigner is so interested in visiting Nigeria, and a Nigerian goes on the comment section to say: Don't go to Nigeria, bla bla bla bla.

Very true, I see this a lot too. This is very sad.

A lot of them think this is how the majority of Nigerians think of themselves, It's good to see this is changing albeit slowly.

You should have at least 4-5 Nairobi to start with.
But you dont. Your next city Abuja is below Mombasa.
We have other cities..and towns.
And we are not yet urbanized.

Abuja being compared to Mombassa . That's an insult to Abuja and you know it. Abuja has perhaps the highest number of estates in Nigeria including Nigeria's first smart estate. It has a Metro and some of the best road networks you would find anywhere in Africa. Abuja and Mombassa Now you're trolling lol.

Can you give me a drive through Mombassa comparable to this??

I think you are thoroughly misinformed. All of Nigeria's geopolitical zones(and they are 6) have at the very least 2 cities above the level of Mombasa.

SW - Lagos, Ibadan etc
SE - Onitcha, Awka, Enugu
SS - Calabar, Uyo, Port Harcourt, Warri, Benin, Asaba etc
NC - Abuja, Lafia, Jos etc
NW - Kaduna, Kano, Zaria, Sokoto etc
NE - Maiduguri, Jalingo

Each of these cities with their uniqueness.

Nigeria is a Federation so all her states compete with themselves for IGR and infrastructure

for instance, I'm a South southerner. Rivers state is lobbying for the resuscitation of the Port Harcourt - Maiduguri Railway.

Cross-River is arguing that it's the shortest link to Nigeria's NE and is lobbying for funding for it's deep seaport and Superhighway.

CRS is the only Southern State in Nigeria where you can move through it's territory alone to the North

Akwa -Ibom/State(being oil-rich) is beating everyone to the game. They have money to fund a deep sea port. And has excellent infrastructure leading to Cross-River State

These Regional competitions don't even make national news.

Now how does Kenya fare?

As in that state has been blessed with good Governance. All they need is to have more wealthy individuals settle there.
Someone recently drove from Enugu to AkwaIbom. Immediately he passed Abia state into Ikot ekpene in AkwaIbom, the difference in roads were like night and day. The drive through Ikot ekpene was so smooth with marked beautiful roads all through even in the village of Ikot ekpene.
