This trip was back then. Now, that road is not only bad, it's a death trap riddled with bandits, robbers and kidnappers.

The Makera - Tegina will leave you with a leaking transmission, busted shocks and other eventualities. worse more, road can be so lonely and deserted now so no help if you get stranded.

Worked and lived in Kaduna back in 2016 and I frequented Kamuku resort in Birnin Gwari for their fresh local chicken stew, hut accomodations and awesome weather. Good old days.

On this sort of journey now, I'd leave Lagos either by 9pm to arrive 5am, 5am to arrive 3pm or simply take a flight.

And some people who are transporters do this journeys everyday. That how they get money to feed their family.

Benin to Togo 6 hrs
Togo to Burkina Faso 20 hrs
Burkina to Mail 16 hrs
Mali Sénègal
Sénègal Gambia ……

Security issues -: Burkina Faso / Mali and last last Cassamas _ Sénègal / Gambia border.

Road trips are really fun. Enjoyed my Abj - Enugu drive this week. Looking forward to the return trip in the new year
it is fun when everything works with no problem but if your gearbox blaster on that lonely ilorin road you will know how far,in as much I am a petrol head but I cannot drive 1400km just for a wedding,I will take the bus,too much adventure my brother.
