Many Nigerians were surprised when Tinubu declared his presidential ambition so early in January. A declaration he tagged 'lifelong ambition' The APC leader had met with President Buhari to inform him of his intention to contest and succeed him. A few days later, he began rigorous consultations; met former military president, IBB; consulted some monarchs and other political heavy weights in the country. But everything took a different diversion when Osinbajo declared. What went wrong? Since his declaration, the former Lagos state governor has visited less than 12 states. We all aware that his constraints can't be pausity of funds. So really is the reason for the slow in his campaign despite declaring four months, ago. Could it be his health issue? Also, When last did we hear about SWAGA? Could it be because mr. President is not supporting his 'life long ambition?' Of course, it is clear, judging from the way he was treated during the APC National Convention, a few weeks ago. He was not recognised; his posters were not allowed inside the venue and all were posted outside the venue. Could it be that he has seen the hand writing on the wall that Osinbajo is the anointed candidate by Mr. President? In April, VP Osinbajo declared his intention to run, and in less than two weeks he has covered more than 15 states; talking directly to the party stakeholders and consulting, state governors, monarchs and community leaders. This same VP covers two states in a day; seeing party delegates and other state actors to reiterate his intention and roll out his plans on how to move the nation forward. This is indeed a pointer that we won't have a President who will battle health issues when he gets to office or age factor will undermine his performance. Osinbajo is seriously prepared for Presidency, that is why we see him take campaign to APC delegates which we have not seen any aspirant do in the rulling party. It is said that other aspirants are not willing to do consultation because all they want is negotiate their place when the next President is elected. The body language point towards the VP. There is a viral video of when Buhari was narrating how some people approached the Vice President to make them VP and how he held on to hope for his recovery. We can also see how he extol his VP whenever he delegates duties to him and even see how they relate whenever they are in events. Osinbajo as President will hit the ground running because the has the experience, his stint as acting President restored hope for a greater Nigeria and his administrative skills were lauded by opposition leaders, international leaders and many Nigerians. It is up to APC delegates to do the right thing and ensure Osinbajo cling the party ticket and allow Nigerians to finish the rest of the work at the poll come 2023. http://abujaradio..com/2022/05/did-osinbajos-declaration-hurt-tinubu.html

Asiwaju, the Lion of Bourdillon will be the president no matter what. The only governor that consistently challenged the federal powers in his era as governor. The man who took the FG to court and made sure he created LCDAs to make government closer to people which is what many states copied now. A forward thinker |

Asiwaju makers of men . This is almost the 1000th thread opened about him on Nairaland this year alone. He is the governor with the best cabinet in his era and we are very sure that having a man like this as president means we will have capable hands at the helm of affairs, a win-win for Nigeria |

Obviously, the declaration hurt Tinubu and his camp a whole lot. They started to play dirty politics that made little or no sense. What's the "Judas" about? It's a democratic nation and provided you meet the requirements in the constitution ofcourse you can contest. |

Everything about Osinbajo is hurting Tinubu and his camp, and I noticed they've been trying to smear hear with the media. It is time for this ancestor to prove to us that he made this, he made that...it's a good thing that one of the persons he claimed to have made is now standing against him. |

Tinubu and his supporters have realised that Tinubu's ambition to be the president of Nigeria is death and buried. At best, it will remain his life long ambition that will never materialise. |

Nigerians called for Osinbajo's leadership in 2023, the VP is a man of divine purpose, his mission is to rescue Nigeria. The presidency is nobody's birth right. I'm happy Osinbajo is contesting, Nigeria needs credible people in government. Someone like Osinbajo. |
