A resourceful government will always be better than its predecessor!

It has very little to do with resourcefulness.

For one thing, we tend to perceive current government as worse than previous ones.

Another thing is that, even though we have a leadership problem, but our problem as a country is more institutional.

Take corruption, for example, it is so institutionalized that it is hard to reduce it.

Read Expo 77 by Chukwuemeka Ike, and you will better appreciate the effect of corruption.

Like someone said, Nigerians are so corrupt that as you are closing one loophole in the system, they are already devising new ways to beat whatever system you are trying to put in place.

What we need in Nigeria is more of a change of mentality. In a country where parents buy certificates for their children, how much can a resourceful leader do? If he puts cameras in every offices, Nigerians will already be devising ways to beat the cameras.

It is almost like an impossibility to turn this country around because how many people can you tell that honesty is the best policy when even their teachers are bringing in expo for "co-operative" students?
