Commenting on the development, Ag. Executive Secretary/CEO, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) Mr Emeka Offor accompanied by Deputy Director, Investor Relations, Mrs Wange Dia and the Commission’s Southeast Zonal Head, Mr Eric Ugochukwu Ani assured of NIPC’s support and collaboration. “Unquestionably, this project could not have come at a better time, Mr Offor said. “With the new Nigerian economic blueprint – National Development Plan which identified private sector investment as a panacea for economic development, the expansion of this factory is a bold step for a robust private sector response to Nigeria’s industrial aspiration and development.” “NIPC is particularly thrilled that this feat is coming after the economic shocks experienced and occasioned by the global Covid 2019 pandemic. “Nigerian Breweries has demonstrated resilience and reinforced the hope that with focus, innovation and good management, we can always overcome the odds. “We commend the Nigerian Breweries Plc and assure you that NIPC is here for you,” Mr Offor said. |

I have been laughing over this news for a week now . It seems there is something about Enugu that only NBPlc sees. 10 of these investment will see the south east on another economic expansion trajectory. I have since realized that this was what made MI ọkpara outstanding and this is what Umahi is lacking presently and the Soludo administration should immediately embark on. Economic infrastructure will always always outpace and outlast physical infrastructure. |

This kind of development is worry some, people only drink and misbehave; no other thriving business in Alaigbo, home of mkpurumiri than beer and casket because of ipob/esn menance. They kill in the day and sneak to nearby joints to drink at night. Even Lagos, kano, Oyo with highest population don't have this as their real development. IpoB/esn see your life; Enugu is now major supplier of eastern zones. We need better development than this |

Ama Brewery has always been the game changer in Enugu, I admire that facility anytime we drive through 9th Mile, what an imposing and expansive facility with land that they can still be expanded on in the future ![]() Nice, I am just getting to know it's even the largest Nigerian Brewery Facility in the country. Be that as it may, what has happened to the deal struck between the past govt of Sullivan Chime and Guiness Nigeria to also build their facility at 9th Mile? |

Nigerialabalaba:The way you puritans take this Christianity stuff on your heads makes Africa to be seen as an unserious continent. Where did God or Christ in the Bible outrightly condemned raking alcohol? Go and read your Bible, but this time, with an objective mind... I will give you a clue, read it as if you are not a Christian or any church follower. |

Afonjakid:In other areas like Dangote fertilizers and refinery, are these professionals not represented? Do you know how many harm it will cause ordinary citizens? This should be one of the reasons Ipob/ESN don't think like human before carrying out their wicked acts. Imagine killing your own brother so that Buhari can cry. 21st century foolishness! Being cited there is not the problem, but being the largest in that tiny community is worrisome and makes one thinks of more hazards than benefits. There are many other development in different manufacturing sectors that will not cause after effect as expected in this type of development. Even Lagos State that is times 8 of Enugu in term of population size can't boast of having largest brewery and you want to tell me something is not wrong |

sreamsense:Bro, nobody is forcing you to drink beer.. it's your choice. There are numerous projects around that same axis. What of Guinness building the largest brewery in Nigeria in Lagos state, does it mean Lagos people will all become useless and drunkards |
| Re: Nigerian Breweries Commits €112m (N59B) To Ama Brewery Expansion In Enugu by sreamsense: 6:49pm On May 07, 2022 |
Afonjakid:Comparing Enugu to Lagos in this type of semi-positive development is worrisome. Maybe you should check last census to compare population of Enugu to Lagos and see the ratio proportion. Even government know the danger by over taxing breweries and drug related. In term of population, there are about 8 Enugu in one Lagos, and you are celebrating this. Lagos has many other companies while brewery is the only glaring celebrated company in Enugu, and you are comparing it with Lagos in term of development. Ok, let's pray for good and better development, this one is just Ipob/ESN filling station after operation |

sreamsense:And is it only meant for consumption in the Enugu only.. it will be exported to other neighboring states. And for your info, I'm anti -ipob, I don't support them.. Nobody is going to force you to take beer, it's all your choice |
| Re: Nigerian Breweries Commits €112m (N59B) To Ama Brewery Expansion In Enugu by sreamsense: 6:59pm On May 07, 2022 |
Afonjakid:I already said it in my first post here, it is for eastern zone. Even Western zone that is larger in term of population, can not boast of this. That's why we need researchers in Eastern zones to help us establish relationship between effect of beers and social misbehaviour especially in relation with Ipob/ESN and their way of thinking. |
