Now that the Supreme Court has decided the Imo/Rivers oil well case in the favour of the latter, Hope Uzodinma should be more creative and stop looking for free money.

We have read stories of many Nigerian governors improved the IGR of their states. Hope should go and find out how they achieved that since he cannot create wealth.

See how they skillfully avoided this topic to divert attention from a trending news.

Wike just said that Uzodinma refused a political solution to the oil wells, instead Uzodinma in stupidity and foolishness decided to approach the court, now they lost everything.

Where are ediots like asha80, jamjo, etc, to come and discuss this..

If a place doesn't face undue media drags than the city is nothing.
People criticize places they are envious about.

This city is growing and becoming beautiful by the day. Uzodinma has a huge vision for the state only that it needed a strong finance to compete with ABj. It's sad we lost the oil wells, it's not a goodnews to igbos as a whole. All that belongs to us that was cedded to other state's. Some igbos are happy about it. They forgot if any companies, opportunities comes from this, it might favour other fellow igbo brothers. But Rivers is not for igbos. Is well if the Stat in many ways. When they start employing expatriate, workers etc, they won't ask if you're from Ebonyi, Anambra, Bayalsa or Enugu. Taxing imo people to the teeth to raise her IGR might harm the SME, small scales industries etc as well. I hope we will get all that was deprived from us. P.H has used this Rubbed oil wells in detriment to imo state to spur beyond it limit in Development. They should have at list leave that small 17 wells to imo. They want igbos to continue suffering and begging for what belongs to them.

Though I don't fancy the BRT concept, but an intracity luxurious buses are welcomed although government must use a PPP arrangements

My issue is every admin has a 'bus/taxi' system in Owerri. So you will see Ohakim taxis, Rochas Taxis, Uzodimma taxis. These government taxis will be in the same motor park dragging regular businesses for customers.

A good administrator would simply say, if you want to do busing in Owerri they must fit this criteria, and you will have luxury or at least a comfortable busing system over night. Build standard bus terminals or give them to a private company and give that private company a set of standards they must meet. Set bus routes. You can modernize transport in Owerri without spending 1 kobo.

No we weren't collecting any revenue before, FG awarded it back to us to start receiving revenue then River state took us to court, though during the duration of court hearings we were sharing the revenue with River state.

Rivers state was collecting the revenue before. The community like Akri is in Imo state but the oil wells were ceded to Rivers state by the federal government for a reason best known to them. Later, federal government decided to reallocate them back to Imo state and Rivers state under Wike went to court to reclaim them.

The supreme court used 1967 and 1976, the old Owerri and Rivers province to give it judgment meaning that Obigbo and Omuma should equally be returned to Abia state.

The bolded is quite informative! Knowing these facts...and seeing how Rivers state have yet again robbed Ndigbo of their God-given property, a proactive Abia state governor would have headed straight to court to use this same argument/documentation Rivers state used against them!

The injustice done against Ndigbo in this country is unquantifiable!

As the youths of Imo State, how do we make sure that the huge gas reserve discovered in Imo state benefits us the way oil is benefiting Akwa Ibom state?

Good question.
But I don't like your idea of 'benefits' as regards akwaibom. We shouldn't be settling for less; all these percentage derivation and all that, would only build one main road and a bridge for elections.

'Utility' is the right word. We need to create value chains for our resources like generating 24/7 light all over the state and by extension, the south east.
There is no reason a bag of cement should cost 4,700 when you have
limestone and other materials in enugu and ebonyi and in abundance.

Only a platform that allows for the control of our own resources would guarantee 'Utility'.

Abia State does not have a governor, the bingo currently masquerading as one already sees Wike as his boss so how can he take his boss to court?

I'm really ashamed of these idiots!!!
