If we get top4, I think he deserves the contract,
Then we would look at how arsenal play during champion league and he must learn how to rotate his squad,

What you don't get is that the target for this season was a top 6 finish or to secure a European competition next season. He has already achieved that and is looking to surpass it.

Top 6 was also my expected target for him at the beginning of the season... But now that we are here, I want him to make sure we finish Top 4, after that, I will accept him unconditionally as a worthy and deserving Arsenal Manager, and ready to sink and rise with him.

As one of the few who risked asking we give the Rookie-Arteta and his 'trust the process' a chance, and took needless sticks for him even on this thread, I would honestly have preferred the extension was delayed till the end of season, to avoid distraction and get Arteta more motivated on finishing strong. I doubt there is a better team out there waiting and ready to compete with Arsenal for his signature.

That said, Arteta has done well getting us here even if we lose the Top 4 chance (I pray we don't). If we remember how the season started with 3 straight loses, with most fans willing to stone him and Edu, and Edu practically begging and explaining how we have changed almost the entire squad and the need to allow the new team blend and play together before writing them off. And here we are, with Top 6 assured and Top 4 possibility.... I think we should cut Arteta and Edu some slack and give them some respect.

We need to stay consistent and start positively as always. Now is not the time for any sluggish or below par performance from anyone.

I just fear that injuries may have it's toll on the boys physically especially key players, but the attitude and mentality must remain.

If results remain as it stands we win the league on goal difference but I doubt it. The 2nd half is going to be explosive. Let’s see how well United can hold Chelsea. We have played well so far just need to score which has been our problem sometimes this season.
