LilMissFavvy:I’m glad you yourself knows that we have different Bible versions and they change words in it. One can only wonder how many words each VERSION has changed I know of one word they changed in it too, check it out. You can see that Yahweh father gave him Israel as inheritance, Yahweh father that’s Elohim.

Jesus clearly tells you to not fear who can hurt the body, that you should be concerned about who can destroy the soul, meaning your spirit, I went further to explain that some Bible versions mention spirit. So what's difficult to understand that you are bringing in Yoruba? How does what Yoruba say concern the Bible? I do not understand Yoruba, everything you typed so far does not even relate to your question which I replied and showed you what Jesus said. I have not even read your long messages, because they are not scriptures. Maynman: |

Uchesis:The Maker and Owner has said He will burn it, so you can not say otherwise especially as you are not the one who made spirit, so you do not know and can not know. |

LilMissFavvy:Do we have 2 Jesus? Soul and spirit doesn’t mean same thing even in Hebrew. Why are their different versions of the same saying? Who created the version and which one can we know is right? You told me what Jesus said in a book VERSION, and I told you what the Yoruba said in their book VERSION, what’s hard to comprehend? |

Mat. 8: 36 answers all your questions, they are Jesus words, the new testament. "What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul ? So you do not know that Jesus was referring to what remains after the body dies , wether you call it soul or Spirit is not important, what is important is that Jesus said the soul of sinners will face eternal damnation, and I have showed you with proof that Bible has used the terms interchangeably in some places, and they mean the same thing. Yet you looking for bible versions, more than the very words of Jesus. " You can go look for whatever Bible versions you wish. Apply common sense and read the first scriptures I posted where Jesus said we should only fear he who can destroy "both body and soul"..... Compare it with Mat8:36, which mentioned, to lose one's soul, so what do you think Jesus was referring to when he mentioned to lose soul? You think he was talking about your physical body? Has Bible ever placed emphasis on physical body.? Maynman: |

Good question OP. Lemme tell a little story... So there's this kingdom somewhere with many enemies. These enemies are creating so much problem that they have to install a new king specifically to defeat them. Which of these is true of those enemies A) They are non-concrete things like "anger", "lack of sleep", etc B) They are concrete, but inanimate things like an overgrown forest that needs to be "conquered" C) They are real persons antagonizing the kingdom. They need to be defeated ASAP! Pls note your answer here, and don't change it up at all no matter what happens, because this particular answer is devoid of bias and is very honest, since you don't know exactly yet whose story I'm telling you. Anyways: NKJV Ps 110:1: "¹ A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”" NKJV 1Co 15:25-26: "²⁵ For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. ²⁶ The last enemy that will be destroyed is death." I just told you the story of Jesus. The passage you quoted is the actual fulfillment of Jesus defeating "death" his enemy. You know your original answer? Exactly! To you death may be something inanimate, that can't be cast into a fire, but not so to God and Jesus. Similar for hell to being something literal as well... You mind if i counter with another question tho? In this passage: NKJV Mt 8:29: "²⁹ And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”" What sort of "torment" were the demons afraid of? Actual literal torment was scaring them, or just something figurative and non-existent? Was there an actual time in future referred to by them, or they were just lying? Choose your answer carefully ![]() cornelboy: |

Read vs 37, and see the question Jesus asked. Jesus asked what a man can give in exchange to his soul, of course the disciples understood that question, that Jesus was trying to say that no loss on earth, can be greater the loss of having your soul lost in eternal damnation of hell. Maynman: |

I am not here to show you Bible versions, I am here to show you Jesus words then it's left for you to take it or continue to argue. What remains after one dies is what Bible is referring to. Maynman: |

I thought you said Jesus never said that sinners will burn in hell, that the spirit cannot burn in hell, yet when I showed you, you suddenly begin to ask questions that sound very silly'. What else would Jesus refer to if not what remains when the body decays in the grave? Call it spirit or soul, it is what remains after the body is gone that faces damnation in hell. Maynman: |

Jesus used the word soul in the scriptures refering to the spirit, that is what remains when the body dies. After death, the body decays, and the spirit/soul remains. If you read those scriptures, yet you still cannot understand, then it's a big Pity. The soul cannot be touched with the hands, so it's actually interwoven with the spirit. The body can be touched. I am not reading your screenshots about what soul is, but I was thought that soul refers to our mind and thought processes. The soul is interwoven with the spirit, that's why Jesus used soul and spirit interchangeably. Spirits of all kinds, even demons, actually have a mind and ability to think (soul). That's why when Jesus casted a legion of demonic spirits from the man, Bible says the demons cried out, ran, located a herd of swine's, then dwelt there. Meaning that the demons can think. They saw a herd of swine's, and decided to dwell in the swine's. Maynman: |

LilMissFavvy:There’s no where Jesus referred to soul as spirit, it’s written all over your Bible and explained what each means. Is this how Christianity operates? Full of Lies and deceit. https://www.christianity.com/wiki/salvation/difference-between-a-soul-and-a-spirit.html?amp=1 Even from the hogwash pig analysis you gave you have contradicted yourself.
