US first lady Jill Biden on Sunday met with Ukrainian first lady olena Zelensky.

Jill Biden made an unannounced visit to Western Ukrain on Sunday, holding a surprise mother's day meeting with the first lady olena Zelensky to show US support for the embattled nation.

Zelenska thanked biden for her courageous act and said, we understand what it takes for US first lady to come here during a war when military actions are taking place everyday, where the air siren are happening everyday, even today.

Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau also made a surprise visit to Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian president volodymyr Zelensky and then reopened Canadian embassy in the embattled capital.
Trudeau announced new weapons and equipment for Ukraine after talks with Zelensky in Kyiv.

Trudeau also said Canada was imposing new sanctions on Russian individuals and entities in connection with Moscow invasion of Ukraine.
