Nigerians on Twitter have called out former aide to Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, for allegedly receiving money to launder Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s image against the 2023 presidential elections. Reno Omokri who used to be a strong supporter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar has apparently switched camps and in the past weeks been consistently selling the candidature of Bola Tinubu to his followers.

One “2023 Get it right Naija” (@Pointeststar) posted a video of Reno where he was seen praising Peter Obi, another presidential aspirant under the umbrella of the PDP, with caption “This is Reno Omokri praising Peter Obi before he collected money from Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.

Another user @Hawau_Arewa tweeted four pictures of Reno Omokri marketing Tinubu, asking “Is it me, or are others seeing that Reno Omokri is working for Tinubu?T hat man has no ideals and principles, he's swayed by only MONEY”

Also, MohPrince @PrinceMohFahad tweeted “Is there anyone that cannot be bought? In the case of Reno Omokri, he has bills to pay, children’s school fees, and house rent I even thought he'd replace Jubrin”

@Austinesjohnson in a direct tweet at Reno, said "Dear Reno, you criticized me for saying that "you are losing it", now you know that nobody is above mistake" while Arc. Sizzle in his own tweet pointed out Reno’s financial woes as the motivator for working for the former Lagos State governor. “Peter Obi might not be able to pay the extravagant lifestyle and foreign travel Reno Omokri partakes yearly. So Reno Omkori will prefer big payers like Bola Tinubu and Atiku. All those #HarassBuhari was just Reno Omokri trying to make ends meet.”


Nigerians were of the opinion that Reno Omokri’s constant attack on Peter Obi, Yemi Osinbajo and President Buhari was just to get the attention of Bola Tinubu or Atiku Abubakar who apparently have lots of money to throw around.

All I see is Osinbajo crew slugging it out with Tinubu crew.

Reno Omokri is an hungry anywhere belle face. He is the FFK of his village

All I see are bitter Peter Obi and Osinbajo e-rats angry because Reno has pitched his rent with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
