President Joe Biden was not happy with leaks in which US intelligence appeared to take credit for helping Ukraine target a Russian ship and Russian generals, the White House said.

Of course, the administration is treading a very fine line with its language - aiming to both condemn and dissuade Russia, but not say anything that could be interpreted as being a direct military threat from the US to Russia. -

President Biden has made the occasional misstep, notably at the end of March when he said Vladimir Putin "cannot remain in power" - which was quickly clarified to make clear the US was not itself seeking regime change.
