BluntCrazeMan:You must be using windows 7 with deep freeze active. It makes every file you save on the system temporary to protect your PC from virus attack. If that is not the case, then, an antivirus has immune your system against new files to protect it from attack. You must have activated it without knowing. |

kels4fun:you had no clue of what happened to your system. Cmos battery only enables your system bios to store settings related to the bios which help your system boot up. it has nothing to do with his files going away. it may be a virus or system restore bug. he may even have disk write issues which might make the files be stored on the memory. |

BluntCrazeMan:A temporary profile is being created for you. To fix this, create a local account if you don't have another or activate the administrator account. Login with the local account then go to your profile in Users folder, you should see a file named NTUSER.dat. delete the file then restart and try to login again to see if the issue occurs afterwards. If it occurs then you have to login with the local account, go to registry and look for all the system profiles, delete profiles with extension bak. Be careful and check Google on how to delete temporary profiles else you mess up your system |

Check your Hard disk for status, you hard disk must have full, if you have small free space from your hard disk, this can cause it. Also virus can cause it, check hidden file from options, you will see all your files, this is cause by virus, Final solution, reinstall windows without format hard disk, get original antivirus to scan all your fresh windows installation to detect and remove the virus, you can then go ahead to trace your file through hidden files settings |

Kazzytman316:In addition to this, in the regedit key hive(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> MICROSOFT -> WINDOWS NT-> CURRENT VERSION -> Run and RunOnce), if you find suspicious .exe or script files, then it means your system is compromised. As someone mentioned earlier, check your data and time to ensure it displays correctly. Modified What version of Windows OS are you using? If Windows 7, then might be system conflict, if it is Windows 10, in addition to the aforementioned, if it doesn't work, just reinstall a new Windows or better yet install Ubuntu. |
