Senator Rufai Hanga, pioneer national chairman of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) has said Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Lagos state governor and national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will fight tooth and nail to get the presidential ticket of the party for the 2023 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with newsmen on Friday, Hanga who recently dumped the APC also said even though there is a pact between President Muhammadu Buhari and Tinubu before the 2015 elections, he doubts if Buhari will honour that pact by ensuring Tinubu succeeds him in 2023.

He said “I believe Asiwaju is a fighter. He will fight tooth and nail to get the presidential ticket. if he does, he may get away with it. I doubt if he won’t fight for it. He is a fighter. Correct. This the the same thing I opined in my post about the reason why they don’t feel confident to hand Asiwaju who himself is an independent guy who knows how to use power.

However, I won’t agree with you on the basis of the cabal you said. The cabal currently in APC are different from the Kaduna mafia you said. They are two different things.

Lastly, as for the cabal I am talking about, they currently have no other option at this stage in APC because they met their match and it’s 50/50. Now it is a game both side will never win if they don’t come to the round table because APC stand on two legs equally.

Adamu is not Chairman of INEC. He is Chairman of APC, a party that wants to retain power in 2023.

The best candidate to retain that power for his party is Tinubu. He is negligent of his office by shunning Tinubu. This is why consensus is not good because the installed candidate becomes a tool for those that installed him. Tinubu did not install him, he therefore sees Tinubu as a contradiction of purpose for his beneficiaries. Buhari has betrayed Tinubu, period!
