The rest of the Kaduna Mafia were all against Buhari in 2019 and still the guy won. They are not as influential as before so I think the “said” power is just a myth in this era.

However I disagree with you, the cabal we are talking about here in this context are not the Kaduna mafia. Except maybe you are diagnosing the issue wrongly.

Cabal are against Tinubu for the same reason why most state governors are against giving people with influence power in their states. It has been the tool politicians use every time and it’s not only peculiar to the current cabal.

However, the cabal themselves are unsure at this juncture, That APC is built on only two stand, the Yoruba caucus and the Northern caucus, if any of the two were to leave, it crumbles. This is different from having influence without power like other candidate, Asiwaju got both so in this game, it is 50/50.

I repeat, there is only one way for both the cabal/Tinubu to reach a compromise, and that is to give Osinbajo. Anything outside that, you will be that the cabal are as powerless as the defunct kaduna mafia.

Can you tell me why you think they are against him?

By the time wen orna go dey fight to hold only 5 LGA for Lagos and the governor na anoda party, you go get sense by force.

Cabal is Kaduna mafia reformed. Under military they were cloaked as mafia, under civilian they are called cabal. They serve same purpose GAC does in Lagos, a go-between crossing, or bridge between statutory govt and a non-statutory lobbyists.

Ogbeni go and research on how cabal entered our political lexicon and stop ascribing undue honour to who doesn't deserve one. The proponent of cabal are same southern journalist like yourself who create imaginary monster out of some few clique.

Where were the cabal during Obasanjo? Buhari was just nepotic and surrounded himself with selfish people who exploit his weakness at the expense of the country.

The time is tickling fast and it's dawn on them that South would no longer be liberal with power hence the dying minutes permutation of mediocre playing within APC

Your Excellency, Arewa has patriotism to three ideologies.

1. Patriotism to Islam. They love Islam more than they love God. They are religionists, not worshippers.

2. Patriotism to traditional throne. This is their culture, tradition, ritual and history.

3. Patriotism to the territory of Nigeria. They do not love Nigeria. They regard it as a parcel of land given to them as reward in service and faithfullness to Islam. Similar to how Jews regard the parcel of land called Israel as a reward of their faith.

You will never ever hear a person from sharia North say they love Nigeria. They will shout One Nigeria, long live Nigeria, or something similar but never will they say they love Nigeria. If Tinubu reward you a million naira for working on campaign will you love the money? No. You will possess it, not love it. This is how sharia North see Nigeria, a possession, not something to love. Southerners on other hand may love Nigeria for whatever reason.

Tinubu has demonstrated, with results, multiple times, that he is capable of competing for ownership of this territorial reward. He is therefore a threat to the Hausa/Fulani monopoly of power in Nigeria. He wants the same thing they want +more. He is a master strategist known for displacing power. grin

This is succinct. I have always asked who lose at the end of the day.
ACN faction will still retain it hold in the SW. But what happen to the cabal when PDP sweeps the north?

The cabal scheme is a fight of a drowning man. You can't reject Tinubu and still deny Osinbajo. It simply impossible in the present polity of APC

Correct talk . Senator Hanga made that precise point when he left APC last year with the parting shot that the Party had lost it's way and treating founding members unfairly.

Important to note that Hanga was a long term ally of Buhari from CPC but was firmly behind Tinubu, and even spoke up for BAT vocally, when he left APC.

Many Northerners do not endorse what Buhari and a few are doing in their name because they appreciate the long term damage that can be caused to North-SW political relationship.

2023: Asiwaju Tinubu won’t lose out, he will fight till the end to get APC presidential ticket – Senator Hanga

December 11, 2021, 10:06 am

Senator Rufai Hanga, pioneer national chairman of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) has said Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Lagos state governor and national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will fight tooth and nail to get the presidential ticket of the party for the 2023 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with newsmen on Friday, Hanga who recently dumped the APC also said even though there is a pact between President Muhammadu Buhari and Tinubu before the 2015 elections, he doubts if Buhari will honour that pact by ensuring Tinubu succeeds him in 2023.

He said “I believe Asiwaju is a fighter. He will fight tooth and nail to get the presidential ticket. if he does, he may get away with it. I doubt if he won’t fight for it. He is a fighter. Let’s see what happens when that time comes. But the Asiwaju I know will not chicken out easily. He will fight till the end. Asiwaju is a politician of repute. He knows what he is doing”.

“Look at me here, Senator Rufai Hanga, I am not Asiwaju and I’m nothing close to him. I told you I have walked away from APC. I don’t have a party for now but if tomorrow comes, definitely, you will find me somewhere, not necessarily in PDP but I have somewhere to go to”.

“The Asiwaju I know have several options available to him and he has the capacity to relate with his political associates. They see him as a General and anything he says, they obey. Asiwaju also has a capacity not to lose out completely anyway. He may not be the president but I assure you, he will not lose out”.

“The least he will do is to go away with the South-West and some other states across the nation. He has done it before and I am sure he can still do it again” he said.

Correct. This the the same thing I opined in my post about the reason why they don’t feel confident to hand Asiwaju who himself is an independent guy who knows how to use power.

However, I won’t agree with you on the basis of the cabal you said. The cabal currently in APC are different from the Kaduna mafia you said. They are two different things.

Lastly, as for the cabal I am talking about, they currently have no other option at this stage in APC because they met their match and it’s 50/50. Now it is a game both side will never win if they don’t come to the round table because APC stand on two legs equally.

You are making it seems that what the cabal say is supreme like they can just say A and Asiwaju goes to sleep. I am telling you it is not so, the only thing they can do is to fapajanu and try to alter the calculation by using Osinbajo which is their only best bet of keeping APC intact.

Those cabal are useless without Asiwaju because they are banking on his structure within APC to hold on to power beyond 2023. The cabal power is tied to APC, remove ACN from APC and they are as useless as Obi Pandora structure.

I am sure the said cabal understand this simple logic like you claimed here.

It’s very simple because there is no APC without the ACN block. Buhari is leaving soon, other Northern politicians themselves will be fighting for their survival so I’m sure they won’t be foolish to want to see APC reduced to minority party.

Lets go back to 1992. I believe, sincerely, that Babangida got away with annulment of MKO's victory because of Yoruba inaction when situation called for one. I also believe that Obj was endorsed installed (consensured) in 1999 because Yoruba declared the partnership with Nigeria was over.

One happened to a Yorubaman in 92 because Yoruba took no action. The other happened to a Yorubanan because Yoruba took action.

Each time Yoruba is in a conflict with Nigeria a part of our grip is loosened, and this introduces us to a new dimension more bitter, less fruitful, with far more barriers than previously when our griphold was stronger.

What is going on in APC now. Yoruba need to stand up collectively behind Tinubu. The nuances and intrigues so far played by APC is sufficient to trip Yoruba for a proactive public display. Buhari and APC have spoken in many words and demonstrated in action where they are heading, why wait for repeat of 92?

You see, Yoruba will not stand up for Tinubu because Tinubu never stood up for Yoruba when he should have done so and build mandate.

Adamu is not Chairman of INEC. He is Chairman of APC, a party that wants to retain power in 2023.

The best candidate to retain that power for his party is Tinubu. He is negligent of his office by shunning Tinubu. This is why consensus is not good because the installed candidate becomes a tool for those that installed him. Tinubu did not install him, he therefore sees Tinubu as a contradiction of purpose for his beneficiaries. Buhari has betrayed Tinubu, period! The chairman is the cleaner, the laundryman to do dirty job that Buhari could not do himself. Remember, Adamu came from PDP, not APC. He has zero allegiance to the legacy of ACN and any grievance from its old members.

I see some deep wisdom in your words but saying Tinubu didn't stand for Yoruba is not correct when you look at his position as leader of APC the ruling party.

If there is anyone among the contestants from the SW that would at least restructure that person is Tinubu. Tinubu has the exposure to cage national assembly unlike Osinbajo who the north could cage with National Assembly.

And to be fair to the NW especially Kano state has always maintain their cordial relationship with the SW since inception of APC even in the face of some selfish individuals from the north

Who and who play the Ibadan politics? What is their agenda? Oyo state has been the weakest political unit from SW that can easily penetrate since 1999.

It is not normal that the highest ranking member of APC after Buhari, Alhaji Tinubu, is yet to meet with the Chairman of his party, Alhaji Adamu, a month after the new Chairman took office...and they are both in Abuja.

Not everything needs to be said in words, sometimes even silence has a voice and is audible to the ear.

Can anyone in Tinubu's camp help clarify.

Ignorant clown. Tinubu was the first person Adamu visited after the Convention. Be educated!
