Good evening fellow farmers, I just acquired 15 acres of farm land around Iseyin, started to plough. the land, about 7 acres, .
6 acres for cassava, 1 acre for late maize.
My dilemma is, this, I have read a lot about Tme. 419, but I have been to so many farms around here, what they plant mostly is called Ege. Dudu, and another called arubielu, (both local name)
most local here don't know Tme.419, my question is this, what is the local name for tme, 419,or is there any farmer around Iseyin who can help out

Avoid TME 419. Those farmers around you not planting it are not fools.

Did an extensive search today and about 5 different farmers told me reasons why they stick to the variety they plant around here, I intend to process into Garri, will follow their advice, just like yours

Pls do you mind share part of the reasons they stated for not adopting TME 419 in that location ?

There's nothing wrong with TME, it's just that Arubielu only advantage over it is after peeling it doesn't change that White color for about 3 days which is a good thing for Garri processing. Aside this, TME is the better variety.
