The bolded is quite informative! Knowing these facts...and seeing how Rivers state have yet again robbed Ndigbo of their God-given property, a proactive Abia state governor would have headed straight to court to use this same argument/documentation Rivers state used against them!

The injustice done against Ndigbo in this country is unquantifiable!

Our naive and subservient politicians allowed it but can you really blame them?.......the war had just ended and the triumphant Nigerian military officers were still in power they just used a hydrocarbon deposits map and a knife and neatly carved out oil-bearing Igbo communities and ceded them to Rivers sate!

As the youths of Imo State, how do we make sure that the huge gas reserve discovered in Imo state benefits us the way oil is benefiting Akwa Ibom state?

My suggestion is thus:
Force the construction of piped gas to all industrial parks.
Encourage the establishment of private industrial park
Force gas companies to have their offices in the state, so that royalty can be earned as well as attraction of high networth individuals into the state.
Encourage the establishment of IPPs
Force companies to power state infrastructures like street lightening and also construct road as a CSR.

Rivers state was collecting the revenue before. The community like Akri is in Imo state but the oil wells were ceded to Rivers state by the federal government for a reason best known to them. Later, federal government decided to reallocate them back to Imo state and Rivers state under Wike went to court to reclaim them.

The supreme court used 1967 and 1976, the old Owerri and Rivers province to give it judgment meaning that Obigbo and Omuma should equally be returned to Abia state.

This is just daylight robbery, how can they use the same boundaries that were set during hostilities between Nigeria and Biafra, just prior to the civil war? We all know the boundaries set at that time were purely based on political reasons and nothing more! We have had provinces prior to regional and states creation, so why not consider boundaries set during those era?

Now ask them to use same criteria to in favour of Abia State and you will start hearing a different story!

Result of this judgement even leaked several days/week before it became public knowledge because indigenes of Ndoni were already celebrating and those on Imo side called the attention of government through a radio announcement. Uzodinma must have gone to sleep thinking the federal government will do the underground work yet he forgot when issues involve Igbo interests in Nigeria, they either go against us or remain indifferent at best. Someone like Wike must have gone round either meeting the judges or sending emissaries on his behalf and would remain passionate on it.

Uzodinma has lost the only bragging rights he would have used to sell himself!

I don't know whether 'force' is the right word to use here but I agree with your points

When people use the word 'force', don't blame them.
The structure of Nigeria wouldn't allow for those suggestions to start with.

Ngor okpala has always been designated as an agricultural industrial zone, remember the proposed IMO FTZ site was located at Ngor okpala.
To me the biggest beneficiary of Owerri city expansion is Naze and Avu communities

A lot of money to be made in the housing necessities manufacturing market in Imo. With the building boom, keep in mind that there are things every home will need (furniture, paint, appliances, bricks, roofing, tiles, etc.

Notice i'm not saying 'government should' or 'investors should'. Many are 'government should, investors should'ing away our destinies.

Okada as it is popularly known in Nigeria is a commercial motorcycle. Okada was formerly banned in Owerri the capital of Imo state, but over time okada business returned to Owerri. This has created some mixed concerns for the residents and visitors to the state capital.

However on investigation and chats with some okada riders, they complained about the bad roads in and around Owerri, that it is only okada that can navigate such dilapidated roads in the town. Some passengers we talked to confirmed the same scenario, that most areas in the state capital have bad roads, that is it only okada that is making their movement around the town easy.

The police command in the state has this to say. “The Imo State Police Command has said that the ban on commercial motorcycle riders, popularly known as ‘Okada’, would be enforced strictly in Owerri metropolis.

Commercial motorcycle riding has banned in parts of the state by the state government since last year.

According to the media adviser to the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mike Abatam, the ban is aimed at curbing the use of commercial cycles to perpetrate crime in the state.

As part of the measures required to sustain the already improved security situation and to ensure lasting peace following the successful neutralization of crime and criminalities in the state and its environs”

“The Imo State Police Command is poised to enforce the Imo State Government existing law banning the use of commercial motorcycles in the metropolis.

“This becomes resolute because of the involvement of some of the commercial motorcycle operators, in criminal activities and other vices in the state.

“However, for service personnel’s who ply on bike, the command directs that they should wear their service uniform, a crash helmet for them and their passengers for easy identification.

“The command directed that service personnel should wear their uniforms and adorn crash helmets devoid of passengers while transiting with their motorbikes.

“The Commissioner of police, CP Abutu Yaro, fdc, warn all commercial motorcycle operators to desist from operating within Owerri Metropolis since, the extant rule of outright seizure of offending motorbikes equally remains sacrosanct.”

Okigwe road is not double lane but it's expanded to 12m which is 2m less from a standard dual carriage highway
