A female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto state has been set ablaze by angry youths for insulting Prophet Muhammad.

It was gathered that some students took law into their hands after the unidentified female student spoke bad about Muhammed, they dragged her out of the hostels, beat her to death and set her corpse ablaze.

Some young male students were seen hurling stones at her. Others also used sticks and different objects to hit her. The victim fell to the ground unconsciously, the attackers gathered tyres around her before she was set ablaze.

The school authorities have subsequently shut down the institution indefinitely over the ugly incident.

A source told salemgists that the female student is a Christian and there are possible chances of retaliation from the Christian community.

Meanwhile as at the time of this report, security operatives are on ground to restore calm.

Watch how they'll try to sweep this issue under the carpet now. They've instructed the students to go home, those who stoned her would use that opportunity to escape judgement unless God decides to apprehend them.
