We have more racists in Nigeria than anywhere in the world! If you doubt what I am saying check majority of threads on nairaland, you will see afonja, yeebos and other discriminative statements, people behind those handles have racists tendencies. We are racists to ourselves so let's not condemn the white man too quickly 1 Like |

cococandy: This war has made me respect the Ukrainians more. In the middle of a devastating war, most Ukrainians are staying in their country to fight. It is mainly women, children and the aged that are migrating to European neighbouring countries. The president, his wife and children are still in Ukraine as we speak. Most government officials are staying put in Ukraine despite all the bombings by Russia. If it was in Nigeria, most Nigerians with passport would have left the country. The political elites would have sent their families abroad and have a private plane on standby to evacuate himself if the situation escalates. During ordinary SARS riots, most of the political elites ran to Europe. Nigerians seem to have little attachments to our lands and abandon it at the slightest discomfort. 1 Like |

schoolboymatt: If you think racism is non existent then sorry bro, they've left you behind! I don't blame you though, it's because you've probably lived in Nigeria all your life! No offense though it's just fact! At say a grocery store or a supermarket you'll easily notice that someone is keeping tab on you! This is the most common form of discrimination! And you'll get rejected or thrown out at some Eateries It's something you'll definitely experience as a black man the day you cross the Mediterranean sea! |

wirinet: Well said! In life, you don't demand respect from others, you earn it. It's time for Africans to fix the motherland. |

mickyeddi: Nigerians still possess that slave and colonial mentality. We all desired to be shipped across the oceans to use our skills and energy to work and develop foreign lands. We destroy our own motherland and then crave for acceptance in foreign lands. |

Asianjollof007: Your words, not mine. You cannot shield yourself from racism as it is about skin color. Tribalism is not. |

mach7: Aid is being sent to Africa, as it has been without interruption, for years. You mentioned Ethiopia, a country that the US gives $922 million per year. View the list before passing judgment. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/us-foreign-aid-by-country |
