It remains unchanged from the Round of 16 through to the finals..
The notable change comes in what we refer to as the group stage, instead of having 36 teams in different sub-groups, we will have 38 teams arranged on points and goal difference with each team playing 8 matches(home and away).
The first 8 qualify outrightly, while 9th to 24th engage in playoffs for the remaining 8 slots..
The matches will not be known before hand like we do now when each team gets grouped, each team will get matched with another team as they play on....

Fabio Carvalho: Liverpool sign Fulham forward and deal set for 1 July

Liverpool have signed Fabio Carvalho from Fulham with the forward set to officially join on 1 July.

The 19-year-old played a key role in the Cottagers' promotion to the Premier League, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists.

The clubs agreed a fee for a move in January but the deal collapsed on deadline day.

Carvalho signs a five-year deal for a fee of £5m, with a further £2.7m in add-ons.

Fulham also have a 20% sell-on clause.

Carvalho played for England at youth level but made his Portugal Under-21 debut in March.

He came through the Fulham academy and was nominated for EFL Young Player of the Season, which was won by Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson

"Fabio is a great talent and we did everything we could trying to secure him here on a longer deal so he could play in the Premier League with Fulham," said club owner Tony Khan.

"That didn't prove possible, but we were able to keep him for the remainder of the Championship-winning campaign and for that I know he will always be very fondly remembered by our fans."

Keita, Curtis Jones are a big joke to Liverpool's midfield especially Jones ..... aside Thiago, Henderson and Fabio Liverpool can't boast of second team or team B midfielders which is our Achilles heel, if we want to contest for titles league next season we need to sign an attacking midfielder and a DM cos Fabio is getting old and rigid, take city for example take a look at their midfield I mean too many flexibility and driving ball round players unlike us that our midfield is just full of inaccurate passes.... thanks to Thiago made a slight difference.... klopp should work more on that midfield next season unless we'll always be a points or two below City at the end of the season.

couldnt agree more.. Keita is an on and off guy and i'm really skeptical about him against madrid..

is fab getting old? .. How old is he? .. I dont think he's in his 30's yet.. I think he's just out of form for nw.. I believe he'll catch up soonest.

Well, I think Salah is going because Liverpool is not ready to increase his weekly wages to what he desires , well not that Fabio is Old, he's not just flexible and loses ball easily.... what Liverpool need is RW as Salah wants to go, CM and DM our defense is quite okay it's just that midfield......well as for RB.... Arnold is still the best RB Liverpool can ever get...I just hope klopp does the right thing.

arnold needs a back u and we aint got any at d moment.. Gomez is injured.. Fab is out of form lately is y all that is happening.. Fab is actually d best dm in d epl.. He is only slow but nt as slow as jorginho.. Our cb's is nt ok at d moment.. Konate is nt dat solid. I do hope he improves.. VVD, he is slacking alot these days.. I dunno if it's his age or he's also out of form but he's nt d same vvd as before. Matip is about d only cb i can beat my chest for now.. Well like u said.. Lets hope klopp does d right thing.

If Klopp wanted a true 9 he won't let Origi go.

You see Origi as not consistent cause we don't use a number 10. Our tactics don't allow the natural number 9 and Origi is not great at pressing.
