Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has explained why he ordered that the controversial tweet on the killing of Deborah Samuel be taken down.

He revealed that the tweet was deleted because he did not approve that it should be posted in the first instance.

The former vice president gave the explanation on Friday when he visited Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State at the Government House in Benin City, the state capital.

“Every tweet has to get my approval,” said the presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). “Unfortunately, this tweet – because I was travelling all over the country – did not have my approval. So, I said it should be taken down and that every tweet must have my express approval.”

Samuel, a second-year student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto State, was killed on Thursday following an allegation that she had blasphemed Muhammad (SAW), the prophet of Islam.

Her death sparked an outrage from various individuals and groups, including the Christian community who demanded that her killers be brought to justice.

A tweet on Thursday night from the former vice president’s verified handle also triggered unpleasant reactions from users from the northern part of the country before it was deleted.

While Atiku insisted that the tweet was not deleted over fears that the negative reactions could affect his political aspiration, he said the only thing that went wrong was because he was not consented.

“I am not a person who is afraid to take stand on issues; you know the stand I took on Sharia. I was pelted, I was abused in the North, but then how long did the Sharia last?” he quired. “I told them they were having a political Sharia and I was vilified, they threw stones at me.

“There was nothing they did not do; that did not make me change my position as far as Sharia is concerned. Where is the Sharia today? So, the only thing that went wrong with that tweet was that it was not authorised by me.”

I was really ashamed by the support Deborah's killing received from supposed Muslim scholars and the educated.

I am not one person that will support insulting any religion, prophet or the likes. But where is education in your support for mob action? Let's put up a different scenarios here. What if someone is setup in the future by some perceived enermies? What if someone raise a false accusations against you at the mercy of mob action? What if someone's device is even hacked to post disparaging remarks against Islam. A lot of what ifs that can easily put someone at the mercy of mob action. Why do you support a mob action? What then is the work of the so called Sharia courts? Why this wickedness Muslims? Why?

I have always said that calling Jesus just a prophet with attributing his Godly nature is blasphemy in Christianity. Muslims preach and even call out Jesus as just a prophet everyday from their mosques. This is even as Jesus was not mentioned in quran. I only know they mentioned Isah. But because Christians are peaceful, you get away with it. Look at what Myanmar is doing to Muslims. Their anger is still this type of actions. Why can't you guys learn peace for once?

Why is it that when we here this insult, its always in the north? I have never heard someone insulted Islam in Yoruba land. Why are Yoruba Muslims more understanding than Hausa Muslims? It's a shame people could celebrate this mob action.

I hereby advice Christians in Muslim whatsapp groups to exit immediately. Anyone can hack your phone and cause you death. Even on facebook groups, it can be dangerous to share with these people. Their open support for mob action should teach you how dangerous your life can be. Enough said

Christians start to fully attack them back all over Nigeria please.

They've extremely beaten and wounded many Christians as we speak.

They've just burned down a Catholic church and they are burning down shops.

All because the Killers of Deborah were arrested
Two of the main people.

Christians are running every where right now for their lives.

Some groups have gone to sultan palace and are protesting everywhere.
They are in their thousands.

They are holding objects and causing unrests everywhere.

Separate Nigeria Now!!!

1.Oduduwa Republic with Capital in Lagos

2.Biafra Republic with Capital in Enugu

3.Ijaw Republic with Capital in Wilberforce City

4.Kwararafa Republic(Middle Belt) with Capital in Wukari

5.And useless unity begging Arewa Republic with Capital in Kano

Yugoslavia shared into seven countries and its population was Lagos size.

Everybody must please speak on this!!!!

Disintegrate Nigeria or nothing else!!!

We are not one
We are never ever one!!!!

I have said it severally here that the man himself is a fundamentalist and a nepotistic bastard. If you want to know go look at how he ran customs when he was the boss. When we voted Buhari for 2nd term, I told people here that voting Atiku will mean an extension of the tenure of fundamentalism in Nigeria.
