Martinelli gets handed the number 11 shirt; Torriera is asking what number he will wear next year since he’s still an Arsenal player grin

Everything about his decisions scents of fear and ego in this aspect. We have to say the truth. Maybe he underrates the zeal and calibre of his opponents. He never jam. Lucas Torriera is coming back too. Whatever happens Sha, they better win that Europa. No excuses. Anything short of reaching the final is sack letter.

I'm still pained they gave him this renewal so early. Smh
Anything short of winning it is sack.

The way we dey go, na only Europa we fit enter UCL o. Top4 from next season don close shop

Depending on how our summer transfer goes, we can make top 4 next season. Man city and Liverpool will be the major contenders. Can Ten Haag get Man U running immediately? I wouldn't bank on that. Chelsea may likely have their usual 'special season' next season. Spurs is a 2-man team. Arsenal lost out on top 4 due to unseriousness and if we can correct that, we can go all the way.

Lol .
Let's put it this way.
*Man city and Liverpool top 2
*Chelsea under tuchel won't falter out of top4
*Conte will certainly improve his squad for next season.
*We also have man u under Ten Haag whom we don't know how they might fare next season.

Remember, we're not the only one spending. Chelsea and most especially Tottenham will spend and that will leave Arteta with tactical experience to battle it out with them

Do you trust Arteta to outwit Conte and tuchel in a 38 game rounds? I don't think so.

Evidently. Emery was booted out for less. Even Le Prof affirms that.

I will take Richalison and DCL

That G.jesus deal is a big no for me, spending over £50million on a player with only 1 year left in his deal is nothing but outrageous. Couple with the fact that he is not a type of player that will gurantee you 20 goals a season.

Arteta should not make another transfer blunder again, we are still licking our wounds from the likes of Travares and Lokonja, he should not allow his ego to come into the way of reality. G. jesus as our marquee striker will only cement our position as a mid table club angry
Watching those two tonight fight for relegation was sweet. You could smell mentality in their moves. Gabby won't come again. Will just be another wage burden truly. Tammy seem more likely considering the circumstances.

Squad depth should be the tune at Emirates next season.

A coach should be versatile in tactics wrt some player's strength instead of forcefully imposing system that needs time to gel. This isn't League 2. Its the EPL. This is better than making one player look evil for one silly thing that can be avoided at the end.

See Jota-Minamino and Diaz

All three are recipients of three different approach by their manager when ever they come on.

Which brings me to this

How many loanees are we having at hand come pre seasons

Inasmuch as we bottled the UCL spot this season, Arteta 'outwit' both. If not for the 3 games we lost in a row, we will be in 3rd by now. And if all these unnecessary losses get fixed, we can go all way next season.
As for all clubs spending, you're right about that. Let's wait and see

Lol, you can't say you outwit someone only to turn around and say "if not I lost 3, I would have outwitted you". Is that not contradictory? grin
Conte also lost too and if he won those matches, he would have been 3rd too. If tuchel won those matches, he would have been going for 2nd too.
You see how all these .. if if, no dey work in this context?

Analysing Arteta gameplan when we're trailing no dey give me hope, especially as he seems to be the only top6 coach lacking that. In 37 league matches, we've only done comeback win once. In fact last season, we did comeback win thrice or 4 times.
We've drawn 3 this season with 2 goalless draw. Meaning if they had scored us first, we would still have lost that match. I'm telling you this to show you that Arsenal not doing comeback win is not a new thing under Arteta, and that once we concede first, it's as good as end of game

Unless he improves on his in-game tactics and not just flinging in attackers after every loss, we won't outwit Conte and tuchel on a 38 game run with that kind of stats

nope...I disagree bro... Arsenal's problem is self-inflicted. We are in this situation because we didn't take our chances. Arteta is clearly part of the problem but the other coaches didn't outwit him abi outwit has a different meaning grin
You can outwit someone even by losing a game. You can disappoint yourself without somebody outwitting you.

If everyone have taken their chances there wont be winner or loser, we bottled it when it matter most
We were 5 points ahead with 2 games outstanding, that's potential 11 points gap but we lost everything
No excuse for such failure all these top6 was our goal is just to console ourselves we failed

U are not totally wrong , but Arsenal won the same number of matches as Tottenham , while Arsenal won 1 more match than Chelsea ( as at game week 37) .

I think our problem majorly was losing the games we should have scrapped out a draw even when the odds don’t favor us. The period some of our key players like Partey , Tierney were out injured and we didn’t have ready made replacements to fill in for them haunted us . Teams like Tottenham didn’t suffer such cruel fate like having key players like Kane and Son out at the same time ; even Chelsea had their key players almost always available and then they have squad depth to cover for them as well.

I believe this transfer window should be used to solve our squad depth issue because clearly the board and everyone out there can see we need showing up in some critical areas on the pitch . If this is done I think we can compete with other top teams as we didn’t really play badly this season like most people here would want to claim , but I understand the loss of the top 4 which was within our grip had its effect on the fans’ hence some of the irrational thoughts person just dey read for here .

As for me , I will support the coach until he’s given everything he needs to succeed and he failed woefully by his own design .
