How is it that our police cannot infiltrate these villages that are known to harbor bandits and fish out their informants, interrogate them and get them to give up the hideouts of the bandits.

By the time 4-5 bandit groups operating in that axis are caught, tried speedily and executed. The others will know that their kidnapping business has become more riskier than the gains.

The truth is that the proliferation of banditry and kidnappings is as a result of both the economic collapse of the country and it's very porous northern borders, that is supposing the claims that these men are largely foreigners is true.

I just remembered Gumi used to negotiate on behalf of bandits. It is obvious those in power are not yet serious about curbing insecurity maybe because they are not directly involved.

He should do more than that. If the bandits are using the villagers, government should also use the same villagers to locate their hideouts. What is the use of SSS and DSS? Which job are they supposed to be doing.

If they can locate the hideouts of IPOB in the south east, why can't they locate these bandits and kidnappers?

Was it not the same El Rufai who empowered killer herdsmen terrorists with money few years ago?

I don't trust him. I don't trust all our leaders in the north. I don't trust our security system. Something is not just right.

They can trace, locate and arrest yahoo boys in the south but they don't know where the bandits are hiding in the north. Yet Gumi visits them.

We are not just interested in the destruction of the villages. Go after the criminals. Smoke them out of the forest.
