I need an advice.

I intend to use my wife as primary applicant.

Brief profile:

She is 29 while I am 35. She has a Doctor of Optometry degree which is evaluated by WES as masters. She has been practicing Since 2019 post NYSC. I have a PGD after HND and I have been working as a frieght consultant after nysc in 2013.

None of us have written IELTS or TEF but someone told me there is a way to get high score. Like sorting etc.

Honest advice and guidance would be greatly appreciated

Hi, is there anyone here whose VO is Ottawa and who sent their passport via VFS Lagos and have gotten it back? Please how long did it take to get it back?

I got an email stating that my passport has been sent to the Visa office since the 6th of May and I haven’t heard anything back since then

I think we share thesame fate in this regard.... on the 9th of May, i got an email notifying me that my documents has gotten to IRRC and is under processing. Till now i am waiting, though i am glued to my mail box waiting for reply that is taking almost forever smiley)

Hello Nairaland fam!
My last post here was somewhere in part 10 I believe. I had to stop checking due to mental fatigue from waiting for IRCC. Glad I'm finally here with a good story. All the info I learnt about this was from Nairaland so I had to come back.

We got PPR smiley
Family of 3 initially, then 4
COR Nigeria
VO - Accra VO then RROC

Decision to travel - there was no decision, my husband was not for it but I felt a push to apply that I can't explain, so I went ahead. I'm the PA and the only thing I needed from him for points was either IELTS or WES, he did IELTS.

My IELTS - September LSRW 9, 8, 9, 7.5 (thereabouts, overall 8 or 8.5)
My ECA (MCC) - October
His IELTS - October 2020
CRS 484 (15 sibling points)
Submitted profile 12th Oct 2020
ITA - 14th Oct 2020
Upfront Medicals - late October
PCCs - Me: UK, UAE and Nig. Spouse: USA, UAE and Nig (UAE PCC showed us pepper. I did mine easily online but husband's had to be done at the embassy because he lived there before 2011, they suffered me with my pregnancy, I had to break down and cry before they sorted us out)

AOR - 12th Dec 2020
Medicals passed/BIL - Jan 2021
Biometrics done - 21st Jan 2021. It showed in my profile but status said "we have not received your fingerprints" all through until ADR 2.

Called IRCC in Feb 2021, found out my VO was Accra.
GCMS in April - Eligibility Review required, others not started
...
..
.
Had my baby in May 2021, informed them in Jan 2022 via webform, received ADR for her documents a few days later.
Sent her docs online except passport which was not yet ready, included an LOE that passport and medicals would be late. I also included updated POF upfront to avoid them asking, we couldn't afford to be asked for 6 months bank statements for POF.
(Side note: We had already spent POF but we recouped and returned it to the same account initially submitted, then continued transactions for a few days, less than a week and printed just that one page of transactions excluding the inflow. Didn't redo bank reference letter or anything else, just that one page of transactions. Wasn't sure it would fly but I guess it did. Not advocating for this! It's just what I did.)
Sent baby's passport copy via webform 4th March, received ADR 5th March for PCC, schedule A and Remeds.

Whole family did remeds (upfront for baby) 23rd March. Sent medical info sheets via webform 24th, and other ADRs 27th.
Remeds passed, ADR changed to NA - 28th March
Baby added to application - 1st April. Remeds passed date changed to 1st April. Also received ADR 2 (POI, proof of sibling name change)
ADR 2 submitted 1st April. Acknowledgement email + ADR changed to NA - 3rd April. Biometrics status changed to "completed 14th Dec" (wrong date)

Called IRCC 5th May. Received ADR3 an hour later - Baby's passport (previously sent via webform). Resubmitted same day.
ADR 3 acknowledged 6th May, profile update - we are reviewing ADR

PPR - Sat 7th May (dated 6th May)

Profile still says "we are reviewing ADR".
Glad to be nearing the end of this journey.

Congratulations! Just curious, please what is currently showing under eligibility and background check? Mine has been stuck under "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" for months now.

Also, I have sent several emails in order to get details of my VO as I do not know, but all I have been geeting from the mails are automated messages. Please can someone assist with an email which I can get this Information from.

the scheme is not realistic for most Nigerians thats why you wont see the thread. It requires a job offer or licensing in Canada. Getting either of them is a tough ask. The chinese, indians and Philippinoes dominate that space as they have companies and use it to bring in their people. Unfortunately Nigerians are not strategic or communal abroad most times so cant use these things.

use Viber. However pls know that if your application is based in Accra, the IRCC agent on phone will not be able to provide you with any information.

calling Accra directly, nobody will talk to you about your application. I know because i've tried multiple times. Accra is holding my file hostage

Hello guys, Please what free app can I use to call IRCC? Accra IRCC to be precise.

Hi everyone, for those that sent their documents to Egypt from Nigeria, how did you pay for 2-way courier. DHL is saying that I can only pay for 1 way at the point of sending the package.

Well said. But I love to try and see the out come. Apart from truck driving Collins mentioned, what about forklift operator, and someone with a knowledge of electrical. Is there a chance?

How can one get either the "Job offer" and "certification in Canada" in Canada.

I read somewhere that FSTP does not require any education background. What about someone who has OND, does it add to boost once chance.

truck driving is not part of skilled trades. The occupations eligible are listed on the ircc website. You need to be inside Canada to get certification and they wont give you visitors visa for that. Its work permit holders, students or pr already in Canada that can do that. Job offer- only grace of God can help because most of the employers want someone in Canada already. So you may apply for 5000 jobs and maybe see one wey to gree or none.

Shai! This is so tight. So what can my OND do for me in FSWP then. Do I stand any chance?

I don't understand you again sir. I was talking about FSTP before. Now I want to know if my OND will make any sense in FSWP now.
