What he meant by not using 10 is that we don't attack from the midfield...a team with 10 is the likes of PSG, Chelsea, Barcelona, City... Liverpool attack is from the wing back.

I guess his bad decisions are responsible for taking LFC to 3 finals of the UCL or winning two domestic trophies that have eluded LFC for a very long time?
As much as you are entitled to your own opinion about the manager (who just won the best manager in EPL which he overwhelmingly deserves) and our legendary players who have won almost everything except the EPL and UCL,try as much as possible to be less judgmental in your assessment of the team!
And please shy away from being critical of our great FAB....this is a special player that has carried LFC for so many matches successfully... unfortunately we hardly see what he does due to his role in the team....Ofcourse,there will be a drop in form here and there as expected because he ain't no machine but a human!
For the purchase of players,Klopp has made mostly the right decisions and will definitely get some needed reinforcements where needed just the same way he bought Diaz and Konate!
Well...Overall,please try to be less critical of this special team....I know as fans that we will want to set the bar higher due to our previous victories....but we must always stay positive and supportive!

LFC have conceded a bag full of goals when he was paired either Lovren or Gomez!
The Defence was so poor that Matip was criticized by pundits as a wasted purchase by klopp!
VVD emergence brought not just coherence but leadership at the back which made klopp prefer VVD/Matip or VVD/Gomez...Thats when the best of Matip emerged though slightly!
Infact during the glorious season when LFC cliched the EPL,VVD/Gomez partnership was preferred to VVD/Matip partly due to not stepping up to the plate and regrettably due to his constant injuries.....infact he played more cup games!

LOL... Klopp didn't buy VVD because Matip wasn't good enough. It was obvious to everyone that Lovren was the Calamity in the defence that needed to be changed.

You keep talking about Matip's stats. I have been expecting that you'd share his stat in 16/17 and 17/18 to clear my doubt. Since you said he was poor for two straight seasons before VVD's arrival, let's see the stats that proves this.

Matip was so poor in his first season that he was rated high by Whoscored and Sofascore.

The little drop in his rating was as a result of his reoccurring injuries which made him miss games in his later seasons. He was definitely our best defender before VVD's arrival.
