A very big scam, same thing happened to my friend, his friend told him to come lagos for this particular job interview, my friend was so happy, d previous night he was supposed to travel, his friend called again to tell him that he will need to pay 500k to get the job after the interview, that my friend should start making calls and gathering the money so when he comes to Lagos it would be easier for him....to cut d long story short, I just told my friend not to bother that it's a scam, a legit company wnt tell you to pay such huge money to get a job

They have finally reached Lagos State their headquarters.
A guy opened a thread like this early January, he was asked to pay #450,000 for work.
There's another one in Akwa Ibom they manufacture jewelries that one ask for #350,000 while you also introduce 3 people.
There's another branch of same company that's in Benin Republic they are into car battery production, the amount is #500,000.

Usually they are paid weekly with promise of recuperating what you spent in 6months time.
I wouldn't advise anyone to take such job.
In the long run is not sustainable.

The job is a scam. A family friend introduced me to the company, and at first, I was enthusiastic. But when he couldn't give tangible info to my questions about the company, I knew it was a sham.

I did a background check on the company, and there was nothing authentic about it.

A friend of mine contacted me some weeks ago for this same scam. He asked me to come for an interview in Lagos with just my NIN slip only and I was surprise. Which kind of job interview requires just NIN slip and no other form of credentials. He kept calling me, disturbing me daily asking me to come for the interview( I never see where dem Dey beg person for work before).

He told me how I will be earning in dollars weekly, but I was observing his WhatsApp status and the guy doesn’t look like someone who earns 10k monthly and most times he will flash me for me to call him, there and then i knew it was all a scam, if not for the little respect I still have for him because he once accommodated me back in 2015, I for swear for him papa. The coat wey the guy Dey wear sef don wash.

Even with reputable international NGOs, once recruitment of low and mid-level staff is to be conducted by our (Nigerian) reps, it's just an exercise of corruption and favoritism. Just look at the process and outcomes in Nigeria and other developing Countries, you'd just shake your head. Let's not talk about State and Federal Civil Service slots.
