In trying to ensure their hegemony for perpetuity (something they should know is not possible) they use every tactic possible even stirring up regional conflicts through unecessary alliances. First it was NATO that aggravates Russia now it is the QUAD against China. Meanwhile China has not engaged in any imperialist activity since emerging. Biden isn’t a weakling - he’s just a face of the power brokers and powerful force that run the US - just like every other US president. It’s by design and US presidents are mostly controlled puppets. Obama also wasn’t the one running things when he was the US president.

It’s also a misconception that the US was feared by all. That’s just make-believe like Hollywood movies. Those who fear the US are European countries and 3rd world countries. Countries like Russia and China have never feared the US. The US just never really troubled them until now. And what they’re doing now is basically reacting to American threats on their borders.

People tend to forget the poor China was the one that did most of the fighting during the Korean War against the US and allied countries and the Chinese technically won that war (but it’s regarded as a stalemate officially). And that was the US at its peak militarily because it was vastly superior to every other country on earth militarily (save for the Soviet Union) and China at its lowest both militarily and economically. So why would a country that pulled that off fear the US? And Americans have always been weary of Russia because it inherited almost everything Americans feared about the Soviets.

Regardless, NATO needs to be really scared. No NATO country has fought a country as strong as Ukraine on the ground since the end of WW2. Fighting defenceless goat herders is different from fighting a formidable peer military that has a lot of support. Come on this is sheer ignorance. Afghans are possibly the most effective fighters on the planet. Afghan militias have resisted every single invading force in history, and expelled Russia in the not too distant past despite having vastly inferior equipment each time.

Afghan males are born straight into military training and receive the benefit of centuries of military wisdom gained from centuries of resisting invasion. No one in military circles underrates them.

Secondly, you don't have a good understanding of defensive advantage. A country being invaded, no matter how small, has a 3 - 1 advantage in strategic military theory.

And Russia is not performing well in Ukraine at all. Maybe you think you can pull the wool over the eyes of gullible ones out here but by now in global military circles, Russia is a laughing stock that has lost one-third of its total fighting force (army) in a few weeks. One third!

Its tanks are getting wiped out with hand-launched javelins, its senior commanders, hacked down day after day. That is no formidable foe.

China and Russia are the only countries with bomber planes.

The same China that is on the lips of every USA lawmakers, policy makers, show runners everyday. In case you don't understand what they are normally discussing about China, it is always about China catching up with them economically, militarily and technologically. USA has reached a peak, there is no more ladder to climb but China is going up the ladder to catch up. When China does, she will then have advantage of population.
