It is not needed unless the qualifications you present include higher education which by law requires you to serve, or get valid exemption.
You don't have to present higher certificates if you know you did not serve. The problem is that people want to leverage their higher qualification even when their NYSC requirement is an issue. Your proof of completion of high school education, or equivalent, is all that is required.

This NYSC certificate issue was raised sometime in 2015, they NYSC did not issue a statement or a rebuttal. It is now that they are now issuing it. Why did it took them so long.
NYSC has been compromised.

There is nothing honorably in Adeosun's resignation. In a sane country, both Kemi and this controversial Oduah will be tried and jailed for forgery and perjury.
But of course this is Nigeria where the justice system is designed to favour the rich only.

Most of these northern politicians have fake certificates forged for them in northern nigeria universities but NYSC and those universities will never open their mouth to say a darn thing.

It is not an academic certificate, the program should be scrapped, the office is filled with northerners.

In a letter replying to the request by the Concerned Anambra North Peoples Democratic Party Stakeholders which sought to validate the claim by the Senator that she lost her NYSC certificate, the Director General of the service said even though Oduah was mobilised for national service in 1982/83 service year and was deployed to Lagos State, she absconded after the orientation and never completed the service.
