Soludo In His Press Statement At State House Declares With Immediate effect from tomorrow, Friday, 26th May, 2022, a 6pm to 6am curfew is hereby placed on motorcycles (okada), tricycles (keke), and shuttle buses in Aguata, Ihiala, Ekwusigo, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Ogbaru, Orumba North and Orumba South Local Governments until further notice.

He Said "Until further notice also, motorcycles, keke and shuttle buses are banned from operating in these local governments on Mondays until the Sit-at-Home completely stops. The youths of every community in the zone are hereby enjoined to assist the security agencies in the implementation of this policy and are mandated to seize any such motorcycle or tricycle on the spot. Local Vigilantes should report such motorcycles or tricycles (keke) immediately, and they will be confiscated by government and the owner prosecuted. The Okada, Keke, and shuttle bus union leaders must take responsibility to report their members who are involved in criminal activities. We shall review this after two weeks, and if members of these unions continue to be involved in criminal activities, the government will have no choice but to either disband the Unions and/or ban them out rightly in the state.

The question is 'who will enforce the ban"? An average igboman wants to do business 24\7, even on Christmas and new year celebrations day if he can overcome the teasing from people. No igbo businessman supports the sit at home order, anarchy and the UGM. But if he disobeys and open his business place, who will protect him? Who will protect his business and properties?. Govt issues ban and disappears, leaving the citizens to make a choice between not obeying govt's directives with the lives and properties intact or obey govts directives with their lives and businesses in danger. Govt must put more resources into enforcing bans.

The governor has now started to get serious.
Take note that he is singling out Okada, Keke and shuttle bus riders.
A lot of these operators are not from Anambra state and when the EndSars riots happened, these people essentially started the UGM in the state.
Without being told, once we cage these people, we cage UGM in the state, because they are joined at the hip!

My personal theory is that if you ban Okada, Keke and shuttle buses in Anambra state, you will solve 98% of the UGM problem.

We know ourselves.

If these people don't repent, OUTRIGHT BAN awaits them.

Let's see how they can stay and operate in the state after that.
Anambra is a welcoming state, but some have taken that for granted.
They MUST stop their criminal activities or ship out! cool
