He is Ngwa from Abia Central Senatorial Zone. It not Ngwa from Abia South Senatorial Zone. There are three Ngwa LGAs in Abia Central with other 3 LGAs making them 6 LGAs.

Please leave this Old Bende and Old Aba Ngwa dichotomy. It is Abia North,Abia Central and Abia South

But that's not the equation playing out today. Your format is different from the formula that eliminated Abaribe and got Prof. Ikonne as PDP flag bearer.

You are correct.APGA dealt with PDP in 2015.It was a highly sophisticated rigging that brought in Ikpeazu.Alex Otti 'won' that election.

Despite the hate/harassment against late Ossy Prestige, PDP still lost that election (Aba North/South HoR).

The slogan then was: "nwa Aba ga aru Aba" but what did Ikpeazu did in Aba? Now he want to hand over to Ikonne from Faulks Rd Aba neglecting the existing rotation that encouraged TA to rigged him into power.

If Ikonne will be better no problem cos any time i remember Ngwa Rd, i always feel bad.

Professor Ikonne is of Ngwa extract same with Governor Okezie. If Ngwa people want to remain in power for long in Abia State they can do that. The tribe constite of five local government with Aba North and South making a total of 7 LGA out of 17 LGA in the state. They consist of 2/3 majority in terms of population. If they come together to vote their own brother they will remain in power.

Did OUK (from Old Bende) not handover to TA (also from Old Bende)?
Ikpeazu = Abia South (Ukwa/Ngwa)
OUK= Abia North (Old Bende)
TA and Ikonne are from Abia Central (50% Ngwa and 50% Old Bende).
TA has taken Old Bende slot in Abia Central.

You folks just love taxonomy so much... Why do often use tribe and ethnicity to divide ourselves? It doesn’t matter if he is from Abia East or west, Ngwa etc. what’s important is good governance irrespective of tribe, clan or ethnicity .

Abians are very use.less set of people who enjoys eating crumbs and suffering. All the youth there I am ashamed on your behalf. Shameless and use.less set of people with looters as their past and present governors.

He is Ngwa from Abia Central Senatorial Zone. It not Ngwa from Abia South Senatorial Zone. There are three Ngwa LGAs in Abia Central with other 3 LGAs making them 6 LGAs.

It is not the turn of Abia central by the zoning formula.
Abia North is next in line.
Do you know this?

Moreover, Ukwa East and West are not Ngwa, they are independent groups called Ndoki and Asa respectively, and they as a matter of fact resent Ndi Ngwa.

Ngwa LGAs:

Obingwa
Isiala Ngwa South
Isiala Ngwa North
Aba South
Aba North
Osisioma
Ugwunagbo.

That's 7 LGAs out of 17 in the state.Ngwa people alone can not dictate for the rest of 10 LGAs in Abia.
Moreover, there is also a heavy non Abia Igbo elements in Abia State, and they are not always pro Ngwa.

Imho, trying to destroy Abia zoning formula, will backfire on Ndi Ngwa.

The rotation is Abia North to Abia central to Abia South and then back to Abia North and the cycle continues.
Why change it out of greed for power?

Ngwa is not a tribe, maybe you should revisit the dictionary for what a tribe means. Ngwa is an Igbo subgroup consisting of not only Ngwas, but also of other subgroups as well like the Aros as we have Aro-Ngwa. Before NdiNgwa came to their present location, where were they?? Are you aware that the current Ngwaland was formerly occupied by Ibibio people

You should be the one to check the dictionary for the difference between a tribe and an ethnic group. A sub-group of an ethnicity is a tribe, so Ngwa is a tribe.
And yes, I am aware that the present Ngwa land was formerly occupied by Ibibios. In fact, a large portion of present day Abia State was occupied by Ibibios.

Buhari anointed high chief ikechi emenike from ibeku (t.a orji's hometown) as the APC Guber candidate. ibeku is in Abia central .

Alex otti has already left APC. so as it stands today, Abia North has lost out of both APC and PDP

stop writing trash. isialangwa north, isialangwa south, osisioma Ngwa are 3 out of the 6 local government in Abia south . How can 3 Ngwa lga's be Ngwa-phobic ?

the rest of the 3 lga's in Abia central are -ikwuano and the two Umuahia lga's-, those are t.a orji's home base and seeing as High Chief Emenike (APC governorship candidate as instructed by party leadership) is from that zone,Abia North is alone.

Not what you think ok, PDP is the only party in Abia and PDP lost Aba North/South HoR to Apga, PDP also lost the Senate if not that result sheets were not seen at the various poling units.

If there is no rigging, PDP wouldn't be leading Abia state, they used intimidation, rigging, thuggery against the masses.

another fallacy .Politics in Nigeria is about tribe and at state level clan.

the Ngwa has 6 of Abia's 17 lga's .They are the biggest in terms of voting population. Obingwa and osisioma lga's alone have over 300k registered voters.

The problem was previously disunity, but in this present times, they have gotten united. If Abaribe can be brought back to the fold and Ukwa East and west compensented, the election is already over

Good morning, I'm an insider and not from Imo ok, Ikpeazu lost both Aba North and South LGA in 2015. My parents currently live at Obingwa and i knew what happened there during 2015 election.

Ngwa stronghold only exist in the villages and not in the town ok, even Osisioma you mentioned, parts of Osisioma that are developed such as Osisioma junction, MCC, NNPC Ekeakpara side has a lot non Ngwa people there so your position that all votes from Ngwa LGAs are for Ngwa man is false, thank you.

you are an outsider. otti was born in a village close to mine in Abia south. So how sir, you can't be more knowledgeable than me. Even in his so called local community ,he doesn't have sway.

I won't go into why he lost but, never say Abia central is anti Ngwa. ikpeazu won all Ngwa lga's in 2015 apart from ABA north and south ,in 2019 he won all apart from ABA north.

50 % of Abia's registered voters are in obingwa (close to 200k ) osisioma (over 100k) ugwunagbo. Isialangwa north is the ancestral home of the Ngwa man,the ndoki can trace there roots there, so how can we be Ngwa-phobic ? when we are the Ngwa itself ?

it was in isialangwa north that ikpeazu received the unanimous support of every Ngwa big politician 2015.

if ever you have been involved in politics ,you will realize that an outsider can hardly vote in polling units not of his own people.

I dare you to go to any polling unit at osisioma lga and try to vote against the indigenes. We saw how Yorubas made sure ignos couldn't vote in mass for Atiku in Lagos during the elections of 2019.

Good morning, there is absolutely no need for all this, Oti was in First bank did everything for Ngwaland but was accused of being an Arochukwu indigene just to pave way for Ikpeazu's accession as the governor of Abia state. I don't want us to go into if Alex Oti is Ngwa man or not because he attracted more development to Ala Ngwa when Ikpeazu was just Asepa director; that's politics.

On the issue of people not being allowed to vote because they are not indigenes as you use Yoruba people against Igbos in Lagos as an example can't be obtainable in Aba (please ask questions).

All Ngwa traditional rulers supported Ikpeazu in 2015 was because he was the sole candidate chosen by Ngwaland and Abia South turn to produce the governor. Abia voted for Ikpeazu because he was PDP ( TA orji' choice) and it was Abia South turn and what happened in 2019 was the power of incumbency.

Do you know why he lost in both Aba North/South in 2015 despite being the PDP and Abia South chosen candidate? In 2019 when he was already a governor, he lost again in Aba North, Aba people can't be intimidated that everyone must be forced to vote Ikpeazu or you would not be allowed to vote at all.

Politics aside, we know how Bakassi boys came about, should i remind you that Ariara boys after counting their loses in the hands of criminals engaged Ngwa Rd (nwa asimuo boys) at Ngwa Rd, defeated them and formed Bakassi to curb the activities of criminals. In that fight, Asimuo boys lost Dibia, ala awusa, isi ugbo etc. Ariara boys were not Ngwa people and were even led by the Akwa Ibom crippled man.

From what i have said, you wouldn't argue whether I'm an outsider or insider again.

Osisioma belong to Adelu's people, faulks Rd/Ariara to Ikonne, Ngwa Rd to Dike/ Iheasimuo/Emejiaka, Isiala Ngwa to Enweremadus, Evina side/iheorji to Onyembi an Co. These are top families that are known in these places. Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.
